Hello, I had juvederm 8 days ago and have red patches and new bruises that popped up below my smile line and lower lip. Initially, I was very swollen and and the red patches seemed to be a bit darker. Most of the bruise is fading. I called the nurse practicioner and she seemed to think this was just a skin reaction and I needed more time to heal. I just want to know if this normal, or if I need to go see a doctor ASAP. Thanks so very much.

You are pretty asymmetric at this point. Were you bruised post injection? This swelling could represent a small hematoma in the lip. If it is, you should notice gradual improvement every day. If it persists, you will need to see you doctor to have it evened out...
Juvederm is a great long-lasting product for facial injections. It is not possible that Juvederm can dissolve within two days. The swelling can go away within a few days but not the product.
If you have had this product injected in the past - unless you have had any medical changes since, you should not have a reaction from the product. Benadryl can assist to relieve some of the symptoms. If this persists over the next day I would recommend seeking the assistance of a dermatologist...
