I am 39 and had three kids and ever since had been frustrated with the changes in my female parts. I just got more saggy, and loose down there, and I leak pee every time I sneeze or cough. I had heard about the surgical options, but was concerned about the risks involved and had been waiting for a non-surgical, safer option. Dr. Stolman used the Fotona Yag laser to treat my problem. I had two treatment sessions, two months apart, cost about $1600 total. I was surprised at how little I felt during the procedure. Just a little warmth on the inside. When the laser was further outside and on the outer skin, there was a mild sting but a topical numbing spray that her assistant applied helped with that. I didn’t see a huge change after the first treatment, but about a month after the second treatment I could see the improvement. Both the looseness and the leakage is a lot better now. The treatment just takes a half hour or so and I only needed topical numbing. I would do it again if needed, but I hope I don’t need to ever again. So glad that this option exists out there.
I am 47 and my hair starting thinning in my 20’s. I had been thinking about a hair transplant for at least five years, and I finally went ahead with the NeoGraft Hair Transplant with Dr. Stolman. I am so happy now that it has been six months and my hair is growing in and it looks so much better. It was easier than I thought. My scalp looked a little funny and crusted for about ten days, and the hair did not fully come in for six months, so the process definitely was challenging for my impatient personality. I did about 1800 grafts to the front of my scalp, and the top (crown).
I was probably first diagnosed with rosacea 20+ years ago and was prescribed tetracycline, then on to oracea, and minocycline, and some I don't remember. The effects of the rosacea gradually evolved to rhinophyma. After several comments from kids in the grocery store and the angle at witch the selfie that I took with my grand daughter showed off the size and color of my nose I decided that I had better contact the people that my dermatologist recommended to me, and I am very glad I did.I had consultation with Dr. Karen Stolman, We talked about reshaping the nose with an erbium/co2 laser, and what the risks were and what the outcome would be.After talking it over with my wife and spending mucho time on the internet looking at anything I could find in the way of, before and after pictures of the treatment, (and I found a bunch...some good and some real horror stories) I made an appointment to set up a surgery date, and at that time I met Dr. Mark Taylor. Both he and Dr. Stolman were going to do the procedure. They gave me all the prescriptions to be filled and the list of things I needed to have at home after the surgery. When I went in for the surgery they put some numbing cream on the nose and cheeks, I took a valium and I think about 40 minutes later they gave me some numbing shots in the nose. I think the reshaping of the nose with the laser took about 40 minutes. It was a painless procedure. They gave me instructions on what in needed to do once I got home. There wasn't really any pain afterward either. (pretty much a walk in the park)... I went in the office the next day and they showed me how to wash the resurfaced area and apply the healing ointment. On my third weekly follow up Dr. Taylor said I had healed well enough that they took some after pictures and said see ya in a month. As I'm writing this review it is at the 6 week point. I am very pleased with the results of the laser procedure, and I highly recommend it. I had worries of scarring and pigmentation color lose, but didn't experience either, and like I said.....for me it was painless. The worse part for me was the healing ointment........you don't realize how many times a day you touch your nose, or put your nose where it doesn't belong, until it's covered with an 1/8" of ointment........... It gets everywhere. Updated on 10 Jun 2014:

I hated my droopy eyelids which made made me look and feel old. Dr Karen Stolman did a fabulous job of artfully removing unwanted excess skin on my eyelids. I am very pleased with the results. I realized later that I had eyelid dermatitis irritation when my after picture was taken. My eyes look better every day and I feel good about how they look.
I had thought about having the laser resurfacing procedure done for about a year to repair the sun damage and acne damage on my face. I decided to do all the research I could prior to stepping into actually having the procedure. Several well known plastic surgeons and dermatologists that I saw, recomended the Gateway Aesthetic Institute. Dr. Stolman and Dr. Taylor met with me and explained the procedure, process and expected healing time in detail. The support staff called prior to the procedure to make sure I was following pre operative protocol. The procedure was painless and everything went as explained. Dr. Stolman explained everything she was doing during the process. The doctors were some of the best I have encountered. I never waited more than 10 minutes on follow up visits to be seen by the doctors. The staff was constantly involved and could answer any questions I had. The best part is the results were nothing short of astounding. Down time is about a week and a half, but the end result was well worth it. If you are considering having laser resurfacing, this is the facility I would have do the procedure. All of the lasers are the newest and most up to date in the west.
I am a horse trainer and former ski instructor, age 72, and got a lot of sun damage over the years. I did not wear sunscreen for ten years or more. I wanted to look younger, less tired and healthier. I had a facelift years ago but that didn't take care of the texture and wrinkles. The treatment was done under local anesthesia, with a CO2/Erbium laser. It took about 10 days of healing with peeling, crusting, redness, swelling. Updated on 4 Jan 2014: Full face laser resurfacing with CO2/Erbium, $4999.00
You are quite young to have aging changes in the face but the hollows in your chin and lower face mimic those that we would usually see in someone older. I would recommend treatment with hyaluronic acid filler to both your chin to softly augment. Such fillers are reversible if you do not like and can last as long as two years, without the risks of surgery. Less filler may be needed after follow up treatments due to lasting newly formed skin collagen.
Your picture is hiding the lower part of your temples, so it is difficult to see the full benefit you would get from filler there. Filler in the temples is helpful to neutralize hollows, and yes, it can lift the lateral brow and upper lateral cheek a touch in some people. I would not recommend filler to temples to improve overlying skin texture problems like you describe - visible pores, thinness. Instead fractionated radiofrequency (EMatrix or Endymed) or radiofrequency with microneedling (Endymed Intensif) or non-ablative laser (1550 or 1540nm) are helpful for that.
The Yag or Fractionated 1550nm or Fractionated 1540nm lasers, can be used to tighten lax neck skin, but usually requires repeat treatments, probably 2 or 3 treatments to approach the efficacy of the Thermitight (subcutaneous RF). The nice thing about the Yag laser treatment is it does not usually require anesthesia, and there is no significant downtime. The fractionated 1550nm and 1540nm have a bite to them, so require at least topical anesthesia and sometimes oral light conscious sedation with pills may be advised. I like to combine treatment with the fractionated laser with the Yag in the same day for skin tightening. When I perform Thermitight in my practice, I do tumescent local anesthesia with oral light conscious sedation (Valium, Percocet). So there is no concern about the risks of general anesthesia. Thermitight is usually one treatment session lasting about an hour, but involved small skin puncture wounds (usually three) that heal without sutures. In addition, we recommend our patients wear a neck ace wrap for five days after treatment. There is a small risk of infection, and greater risk of mild bruising and swelling with this treatment. Good Luck with your choice!
In addition to doing filler in the marionette lines, and filler in the hollows of your chin, I would suggest filler to the cheeks and temples which can help to lift when there is skin laxity in the jowls over the DAO. Another point, if you have been using Botox for awhile, and not getting a good response with the typical dose (1-3 units only per side to DAO) it is possible you are immune to it, and could try Dysport or Xeomin.
I can see in your photo what looks like a small pouch of lax neck skin presumably at the site of the prior seroma. I do not see typical scar tissue which might appear thickened. ThermiRF is helpful for skin laxity in the neck as you seem to have and seems to be a good first treatment choice. Hopefully, it will tighten that lax appearing skin enough to obviate the need to excise the scar. Good Luck
