How long until you can wear a winter hat after FUE HT?

Most doctors have specific post operative instructions.  Ask your doctor if you have questions you are concerned about.In general you should be able to wear a hat a day after surgery.  Your doctor (and other doctors) may have a different opinion. I would trust your doctor over strangers on the Internet. 

Hello. I would wait until all the crusts have fallen off before wearing a winter hat. This process normally takes 7-14 days. Therefore to be safe I would wait 2 weeks post op. 

Wait at least a week, preferably two when all the crusts/scabs have completely fallen off of your head. This is assuming there are no unique complications with your surgery that would require you to wait longer, so I suggest to verify with your doctor.

It is best to wait at least 7-10 days after the procedure to wear a winter hat, as winter hats tend to pull on the scalp.

I give my patients a hat when they leave the surgery on the day of the surgery for cover and camouflage. Make sure that the hat does not rub
