Yes, you can get lip injections while taking accutane. Keep in mind, there may be swelling after injections which will resolve in 1-2 weeks. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Lip fillers can be used for lip augmentation while you are on accutane. There is no known contraindication or interaction. Hope this helps.
Thank you for sharing your question. You can receive juvederm lip injections while taking Accutane at no increased risk of the common complications. Hope this helps.
Accutane is a commonly used acne medication and while you are taking it, there is no reason you can't have Juvederm filler injected into your lips. Most importantly, see a local expert injector with extensive experience and training (e.g. a dermatologist) to ensure optimal results and safety.
There should be no problem with Juvederm injection to your lips while taking Accutane. It is always wise to let your physician know what medications and supplements you are taking.
There should be no issues with enhancing lips and simultaneously being on Accutane. The procedures where serious healing problems could arise while on this medication are laser treatments to the skin . Be sure to discuss this with your treating physician.
Thank you for your question. Taking Accutane will not increase your risk of complications related to your Juvederm treatment. You should be just fine to proceed with lip augmentation. Please be sure to see an expert injector for an in-person consultation to fully discuss your concerns and your goals and expectations in order to determine the best treatment plan. Hope this helps and best wishes!
The current data for Accutane and cosmetic procedures has more to do with lasers, especially pulsed dye laser and resurfacing lasers and in the laser world, this too is being challenged. In regards to dermal fillers, there is no data showing any increase risk of injection while on Accutane (isotretinoin). While my views are very conservative with delaying any laser until 6-9 months post discontinuation of Accutane, I would, and have, injected dermal filler while on Accutane.Hope that helps.
Its been very interesting to read the wide variety of advice you are being given. Filler practice is evolving all of the time, with new fillers on the market. What you actually need is two different fillers: one for the tear troughs and another for the cheeks. Anyone who uses the same filler all...
Thank you for your question. You should not have visible bumps after filler injections. However, massaging and warm compresses can help smooth filler. You just want to be sure not to massage too firmly or often because you wouldn’t want to diffuse it so much that you massage away the results o...
Dont jump to a worry. Time will help. Go and visit the plastic surgeon that did your injection and see what the assessment is.. My Best, Dr Commons
The bluish color you demonstrated may be tyndall effect, but it may be a bruise as well. I would agree waiting for at least 2-3 weeks before any treatment is rendered. A q switched 1064 nm laser can be used to improve the effect as well without removing the product
It is unlikely to cause nerve damage, but there is a risk of vascular occlusion. Based on your description, I recommend following up with your injector today. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an ...
Juvederm works well in the temple area to improve volume and eliminate a bony look. In some patients, I have seen temporary increase visibility of the superficial veins. Fillers should be avoided in the forehead because of the vascular bundles and potential circulatory effects on the eye....
