This is difficult to answer without pictures. Massage may be able to smooth a bump after Juvederm. I recommend following up with your injector. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an expert. Best, Dr. Emer
Thank you for your question. You should not have visible bumps after filler injections. However, massaging and warm compresses can help smooth filler. You just want to be sure not to massage too firmly or often because you wouldn’t want to diffuse it so much that you massage away the results of filler injection.
It is ok to gently massage the area after filler placement. If you do not notice an improvement return to your injector for an evaluation.
You can definitely massage any bumps after injection but may only be beneficial for a few days immediately after injection. Hyaluronidase may be helpful in breaking up the lump if farther out.
Thank you for your question. Massage may be beneficial for smoothing areas of unwanted fullness. I would recommend that you see your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action. Hope this helps and best wishes!
While I am very meticulous with placing filler especially around the tear troughs, if a patient of mine has a lump they can gently massage it if it is noticed shortly after treatment. Best to ask your doctor.
If it has been more than two weeks since your injection juvederm you may certainly try to massage the area to make it look smoother. However, in my opinion massages will not do anything and you may want to resort to using hyaluronidase to create a smoother look. In my personal opinion Juvederm should not be used in the tear troughs area. Good luck from New York City
Massage may not help if your injection was placed more than a few days ago, but you could try. Your best option is to see your injector for suggestions to improve the bumps. If you do not have confidence in your injector, then seek a second opinion from an experienced cosmetic surgeon injector. Juvederm placed under the thin skin of the tear trough often creates less than satisfactory results. Best wishes.
Dont jump to a worry. Time will help. Go and visit the plastic surgeon that did your injection and see what the assessment is.. My Best, Dr Commons
The bluish color you demonstrated may be tyndall effect, but it may be a bruise as well. I would agree waiting for at least 2-3 weeks before any treatment is rendered. A q switched 1064 nm laser can be used to improve the effect as well without removing the product
It is unlikely to cause nerve damage, but there is a risk of vascular occlusion. Based on your description, I recommend following up with your injector today. If you're unhappy with your final results, you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. See an ...
