Its officially a week after getting my lips injected with Juverdurm Vollure and I really think these bluish grayish lumps on the middle of my bottom lip are never going to go away unless I get the filler dissolved. What should I do? I contacted my provider and he said I should just keep massaging and give it another week. It looks horrible. Thank you!
Answer: Tyndall Effect The bluish color you demonstrated may be tyndall effect, but it may be a bruise as well. I would agree waiting for at least 2-3 weeks before any treatment is rendered. A q switched 1064 nm laser can be used to improve the effect as well without removing the product

Answer: Possible Tyndall effect with lip filler Hi,Thank you for your question and sharing your photo. It is possible the bluish/grayish discoloration is due to Tyndall effect but it's also possible it's a bruise. Lips are notorious for swelling and bruising after lip filler and I recommend all patients wait the full 2 weeks before additional interventions. If it is the Tyndall effect due to product being placed too superficially, it can be dissolved with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps!

Answer: Tyndall This is most likely Tyndall from having the Juvederm too superficial. It happens. Consider returning to your injector, removing the filler via needle puncture, then add Vobella if there's visible volume loss. See your injector for an opinion.Best wishes, Dr. ALDO

Answer: Lumps after Lip augmentation with Fillers (Juvederm, Restylane, Volbella) It's difficult to tell from your picture. There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Tyndall effect in lips? Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. It is very possible that this area is the result of superficial injection of Vollure and may need to be dissolved. That said it is very common for lips to demonstrate asymmetrical swelling and bruising after treatment and this is why a waiting period of two weeks is typically recommended for patients before pursuing any additional treatment. Maintain close communication with your injector and if it does not improve to your satisfaction they should attempt to dissolve the material. Hope this helps.
