I've seen the reviews comparing the old applicators to the new ones. Ideal image said they have the new applicators- I'm having my upper, middle and lower abdomen done all in one shot, using the coolcore machine for upper/lower abs and coolmax for the bottom - (2 upper, 2 middle and 2 max on the lower). Is there a new 'coolmax' applicator with the updated applicators? I can't seem to find the new applicator named coolmax? I really don't want to use the old applicators.
Answer: New Applicators Hello,Thank you for your question. Yes there is a new CoolMax applicator, it is called CoolAdvatage Plus. It provides better results, with less downtime. Good Luck!

Answer: The old Coolmax applicator is more painful compared to the new Cooladvantage plus! Yes. There is a new Cooladvantage plus applicator for larger areas, which has larger surface area and less suction which can result in less discomfort and better outcome. In our office we do dualsculpting and offer Z wave treatment to further improve your fat reduction and reduce the post procedure discomfort along with Manual massage. Consider getting a consultation from an experienced physician in your area and see if the Cooladvantage plus is a suitable applicator for you. Best of luck Dr. Shanthala

Answer: Coolsculpting - updated applicators Hello and thank you so much for your question. I think it’s a very important question as the majority of information on Google is representative of older applicators such as CoolCore and CoolMax The most up to date versions of applicators are as follows: CoolAdvantage - with triple adjustable shapes, the latest version of CoolCore, Coolcurve and Coolfit applicators. The new and latest CoolAdvantage Plus is the latest applicator and replaces the original model of CoolMax. CoolAdvantage Plus is far superior to the previously used Coolmax, both in patient experience during the treatment and in post treatment results. The advantages of the up to date versions include the following: · patient and area selection, no longer is it important to have ‘grabbable’ or pinchable pockets of fat as the new applicator uses less suction. In comparison, the Coolmax applicator had two cooling plates and suction was used to ensure contact with the plates. The new applicator is in a way a cooling ‘cup’ thus ensuring a much larger treatment area and far less suction. As a result, this gives a virtually painless procedure with better results. · less swelling immediately post treatment and faster resolution of soreness/pain -less pain post treatment. Lower abdomen treated with CoolMax is the area most affected with Late Onset Pain Syndrome, which would be starting 4-5 days post treatment. Patient will experience ‘shooting’ stabbing’ pain in the treated area at times requiring medical and prescription pain killers. With new CoolAdvantage Plus we are observing a far less percentage of late onset pain, if any. · time difference 45 minutes vs 60 minutes. As a doctor working at the Dr Rita Rakus Clinic I specialise in Non-Invasive Body Contouring and I ensure the following steps are taken: The first step is a complimentary face to face consultation with myself to ensure we eliminate any potential contraindications and establish most recent patient medical history. Then a thorough examination and decision as to a treatment plan and areas to be treated. Secondly, I explain the treatment in detail including all the steps and the experience, as you have read depending on the area treated patient may have different levels of discomfort ranging from virtually painless to mild discomfort. Then lastly the treatment itself, followed by review in 6 weeks and 12 weeks. We also use Z wave acoustic wave to enhance the results. However, within the clinic we have several machines offering different body contouring treatments so if Coolsculpting weren’t a suitable option we can determine the most suitable treatment for you. I hope this is information has been helpful Dr Galyna Selezneva – MB ChB BA MA MMed MSc MRCPsych BCAM 'Best in Coolsculpting' 'Best in Non Invasive Body Sculpting' - Tatler Cosmetic Guide 2017

Answer: The CoolAdvantage Plus is the updated applicator. The new applicators help shorten treatment time and keep patients more comfortable during treatment as well. Because an area can be treated in just about half the time compared to prior applicators, you're back to your regular schedule faster too. Definitely make sure to verify with your practitioner which applicators they're using, as the newest ones truly are superior. Good luck!
