bruising can happen but blisters are not common. Recommend going back and discussing that with the provider that did the coolsculpting for you. Gel used during coolsculpting is supposed to prevent the blistering. In our busy practice we have never seen blistering.
While some redness or tenderness at the treatment site can occur and would be normal, blistering to the extent you describe is not typical. I suggest following up with your provider to see if they can provide any insight on why this could have happened, as well as see what they recommend for your next steps. Best of luck to you.
No, blistering is not typical after a coolsculpt treatment. As a provider, we would want to hear from you if you are having any issues at all post treatment, and I'm sure your provider will feel the same way so do not hesitate. I wish you all the best.
I am sorry you have had this experience. We have performed many coolsculpting treatments and have never seen blistering afterwards. I would recommended returning to the provider who performed your treatment for further evaluation.
Blistering after Coolsculpting is not typical but can happen if there is a thermal event. One of the amazing things about Coolsculpting is that the applicators have built in sensors that check your skin throughout treatment to ensure the tissue in the treatment area is not getting too cold. If the tissue does get too cold the system will shut down and turn off to prevent "freezer burn" on the skin. Although this rarely occurs, blisters that can result in this situation will typically heal within several days and will not have any lasting side effects. That being said, it is very important to wait until the tissue is completely healed before re-treating the area.
Please contact your provider asap. WE have treated 1000's of patients and not once seen a blister following cryolipolysis treatments.
Slight bruising would be considered normal, however blistering is not and you should contact your provider.
I have treated many patients and blisering is not a normal event. Contact your service provider that provided your treatment.
blisters are not normal after coolsculpting . If the gel pad did not couple correctly or the machine temperature had an in accurate output of energy/cooling can cause blistering. You need to contact the physician responsible for your treatment
Thanks for the great question and I'm sorry this happened to you. Blistering is not normal after coolsculpting treatments. Something may have happened with the gel which is supposed to be placed on the skin first to prevent this from happening. I recommend making an appointment to be seen by the office where you had this done. Best of luck!~Dr. Sieber
