As soon I walked through the front door @ Delta Laser I felt comfortable and welcomed by there amazing staff. The Coolsculpting team is professional, honest and made me feel relaxed throughout my entire treatment, I would highly recommend this clinic to family and friends.
Delta Laser is simply the best place to go to! Coolsculpting has done wonders for my stomach and waist. I would recommend this to ANYONE who is looking to shed those extra pounds off. Their staff is amazing, and make you feel very comfortable and not to mention VERY knowledgeable! I just had my second session done last week, and it was super easy! I did 4 areas and I was in and out in 2 hours, thanks to Delta Lasers to hand pieces that take 35 minutes each area only! If you are looking for an amazing place to go to that is professional, clean & best at what they do, look no further ! Delta Laser & Lougheed Laser is the place to go !
I came to Delta Laser in May 2016 needing serious help with my double chin. I have always had a round face, it's always made me feel really insecure in photos and in person. I was getting to the end of my rope, searching through every surgical doctor in Vancouver, trying to see how much a face lift would cost - and it was stressing me out so badly thinking of the price tag and downtime I would be having. Then I discovered Delta Laser - and Marcia recommended Coolsculpting treatments to help shape my face into a perfect "V". There is absolutely no down time and I literally had my treatments and went grocery shopping afterwards. It's been 6 months and my face has slimmed down perfectly into a beautiful V shape. I feel so incredibly confident, in person and in pictures :) Thank you Dr. Fleming!!
I'm a 44yr old female. I suffered with moderate to severe adult acne (inflammatory papular - not cystic - no whiteheads or blackheads, just a profusion of red bumps) for almost ten years beginning in my early 20s. Nothing worked ;( I saw numerous dermatologists and we tried everything (including multiple, escalating doses of Accutane). Finally, my doctor decided to try Aldactone and we got results ;) I was clear for almost 13 years (my skin was best during and after my four pregnancies, which is not normal!). About 12 months ago my acne inexplicably (maybe peri-menopause?) returned. I went back on Aldactone immediately but with no results. My acne has gotten progressively worse and so today I had v-beam (PDL - pulsed dye laser spot treatment) followed by PDT as a last ditch effort. The procedure was not painful - it was mildly uncomfortable. The vbeam treatment was a non event, just little bursts of fluid against the skin. Then my face was prepped with an acetone wash and the levulan was applied under my eyes and down to my chin - I have never had a zit on my forehead, ever, so they left that area alone. The doctor had prescribed a two hour incubation period and so I sat in a dimly lit room and relaxed, no discomfort at all ;) When the incubation period was done I donned sexy goggles and sat in front of a u-shaped blue light machine for 16mins and 40secs. It was not really hot, it was tingly and burned slightly, but I was expecting pain. My cheeks throbbed every so often, but it felt productive and so I kind of liked it. That being said, I have always hated the sun (I am very pale) and I am an avid hat wearer so I have no sun damage or age spots. Based on the reviews I have read, it seems that AK patients suffer more under the light than acne patients.I am home now, eight hours have passed, and my face is very, very red almost fuschia and my cheeks are quite swollen, but still no real discomfort. My skin is tight and tingly and my cheeks throb every so often, but I'm not too bothered by that. I can still see all my acne spots beneath the red, the spots are even more red than the surrounding skin - I had hoped for a uniform redness so that I could begin to forget that I have acne, but no luck ;( I washed my face with dove white soap and applied glaxal base (a barrier cream i've used for years). I'm going to bed now happy to have begun a process that I hope will give results. I donot expect perfection - I'm too mature to wish for, or even want, that - but some improvement would be very nice...I will update this post in a few days. I expect things to get worse before they get any better ;) Updated on 29 Nov 2013: I slept fine last night and today my face is still very red and increasingly swollen. It is tingly, but not painful. The red acne scars that were treated with the vbeam have all crusted over and so my skin feels scaly. Updated on 29 Nov 2013: Today is my least favorite day so far. My skin is still very red, The swelling has subsided, but now my face is extremely dry, tight and itchy. It is scaly to the touch which is awful. All my formerly flat red acne scars are crusted over, I hope that I start peeling soon... Updated on 30 Nov 2013: Today is my favorite day so far ;) My skin started to peel last night. I took a shower to urge it along. The warm water, dove white soap and my fingers did the trick and got the ball rolling. I did not use a washcloth or any other scrubbing device because my face is still very sensitive and I didn't want to set myself back. This morning I was 40% peeled! The peeling started with my chin and is moving upwards. Today my cheeks are flaky and have begun to peel. My doctor's office called to check in and advised me to keep my skin moist through this process with multiple, as needed applications of a moisture barrier (like glaxal base or aquafor). I am already thrilled with the results ;) Although my fresh skin is still fuschia, my face is no longer swollen, the new skin is baby soft, all of the active papules I had before the treatment (8-10 amidst a profusion of red scars) are gone! and my scars appear to be significantly less red and completely flat. That being said, I did not have any pit scarring and my face is uniformly red. It is possible that when the redness subsides I will be able to see the scars - I'll let you know. One thing that I did not expect was burned lips because the levulan was not applied to my lips. The office suggested that because I had a long incubation period (2 1/2 hrs) it is possible that the levulan crept into my lips. Oh well, it seems I got a lip peel as a peripheral benefit. Next time I will use zinc because my peeling lips has proven to be the most uncomfortable part of this process so far - I slept with a jar of vaseline in my lap last night! Updated on 30 Nov 2013: Updated on 30 Nov 2013: Updated on 1 Dec 2013: Still peeling and red. No swelling, no discomfort and no acne! Amazing ;) Updated on 2 Dec 2013: I could go out today, if I needed to. Just some residual flaking on my right cheek where my scarring was the worst. Otherwise just fresh, mildly pink skin (nothing I couldn't cover up with Glo mineral powder). Very, very exciting ;) I would suggest that anyone who is suffering with persistent, non-cystic, inflammatory acne that does not respond to traditional treatment talk to their dermatologist about this procedure and ask to be referred to a doctor who routinely performs PDT. I wish I had done this so much sooner. My whole family has been suffering with me these last 12 months needlessly. Today my kids and husband are even more relieved than I am, if that is possible ;) Updated on 2 Dec 2013: Updated on 4 Dec 2013: I went out yesterday! My face is just a little dry , to be expected, and flushed, which is kind of nice - I'm usually so pale ;) I would recommend this procedure to anyone suffering with chronic acne. I will be maintaining my new, clear skin with twice monthly blue light sessions and I would not hesitate to repeat this process as needed. For years I had no hope of recovery - now I am very hopeful.
Wanted to reduce my jowls. The procedure was as described, not painful just a little uncomfortable for the first 10 mins. Unfortunately it did not work for me. Before/after pics showed no change. My technician was amazing despite the results and I still use this provider for my other cosmetic procedures because they are awesome. I understand 'results vary' - my bad luck. I'm going to explore a surgical option.
It took me six months to read at least 500 reviews, comments and videos about it and while everyone experiences different pain and I also visited 5 different clinics in Vancouver B.C. for a free consultation. The price is the same but the technician experiences are very different and that's very important part of the treatment and finally I picked Lougheed laser. First, because the technician sounds very experienced and second, they have the new applicator called "cooladventage" (35 mins treatment time) and Third, they have duel machine to shorten the time. I am 5'4/114.7lbs Today I had my first coolsculpting, I was really nervous before the procedure regarding read many reviews on realself.com and it looks like 9/10 experience post pain (nerves pain). So cut it short, the technician " Brooke" decided I am going to have two "coolcurve -advantage" on my flank and two "coolfit-advantage" in the middle of my abdomen ( 11 shape - vertical on left and right). The gel wasn't too cool but very sticky like honey. Right Flank: I can feel the vacuums up the fat and little pressure but nothing like pain at all, and I don't feel cold just little cool. Left abdomen: The first 10 mins i feel a little bit pressure but nothing major. No pain and just a little cool. Left Flank: it too close to my Pelvis so I feel little bit pain but nothing major, no more pain after 15 mins. Right Abdomen: Feeling little deep pulling and a little pain (repeat very small part around my belly button. Feeling tingling at the last 13 mins. The after Zwave massage was very noisy, you will feel like a rubber tingling the treated area but no pain. I don't feel any discomfort or pain during and after the treatment. Now it's 5 hours after the treatment and I feel a little bit of numbness, but no bruises, no pain, feel pretty normal. Not sure if this work or not, so I will put "not sure" and will keep update and give final "worth it or not" at the end. Updated on 18 Mar 2017: Brooke (technician) is very experienced with coolsculpting the old applicator and the new advantage applicator. She makes me feel very comfortable and I was bit nerves before its starts but then I don't feel any pain at all. Not sure is coolsculpting will really reduce my tummy and flank fat or not, just did it yesterday but Brooke - she is good. Updated on 19 Mar 2017: The 2nd day my numbness already gone like 50%, the applicator left few red mark of the applicator shape, little swelling, no pain but little sore, kind of like body sore after gym. Today is 3rd day. Last night I experienced a few tingling from my abdomen and lower waist. It woke me up few times but go back to sleep fast. Updated on 24 Mar 2017: Review my experienced for the last 7 days, No pain, no nerves pain at all. Only have a little tingling feeling, and itchy at night but don't bother me at all. I sleep very well. Numbness gone day after day, today I only have maybe 10% numbness still. And yesterday all swelling was gone. I don't expect any change until 8 weeks later. Just took two picture in case of ?people curious how I look like now. You can clear see the red mark (two straight on my belly and little side from the flank). I feel little muscle sore when I push hard my belly and flank. Other than this nothing to update so far but I will update after a month.
Coolsculpting is a painless procedure with no needles, no risk, and no downtime. Side effects are minimal and can vary from person to person in terms of both what you will experience and how long those symptoms will last. It is normal to have symptoms for several days and up to several weeks but for most people the majority of the post treatment irritation will dissipate within 5-7 days. Tenderness, swelling, firm tissue, itchiness, and numbness are all normal and can occur in any combination. With the new Cool Advantage applicators these sides effects are much milder and tend to resolve much faster than with the traditional applicators. If you have any questions post treatment it is best to contact your treatment provider as they will have a comprehensive list of what is normal and when it will typically resolve itself.
Coolsculpting applicators range in time depending on their size and whether or not they are part of the new Cooladvantage series. The newest applicators are amazing because they feature shorten treatment times (35-45 mins instead of 60-75 mins) and they come in new shapes and sizes. If an applicator pops off with more than 5 minutes left we always re-treat the area as the effectiveness of the treatment depends on getting the fat cells to a specific temperature and keeping them at that temperature for a set amount of time. Through clinical testing it has been proven that Increasing treatment time does not kill more fat cells so you do not need to worry about the "pop off" side getting more or better treatment. If the timed cycle does not run its course, the fat cells in that area will not die and the treatment will be ineffective.
Although Coolsculpting is not weight loss it is perfect for getting rid of pockets of excess fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. If you are at a healthy weight and just want to reduce bulk/inches in the tummy area, Coolsculpting is a safe, painless and non-invasive treatment that can help you look and feel better in you cloths. That being said, it is important to understand that the best treatment outcomes result when an area is treated 2-3 times. This is because Coolsculpt treatments permanently remove 20-25% of the fat cells in the treatment area with each application. Since each person has a unique body and since every treatment plan will be unique to the individual, it is very important to have a consultation with a certified Coolsculpt specialist.
Bruising is a possible side effect from Coolsculpting along with other minor irritations such as numbness and swelling. Some people do get a bit of bruising for 3-7 days while others do not get any. The newest Cooladvantage series of applicators seem to produce much less side effects (bruising included) but either way it is not an indication of treatment efficacy. Coolsculpting results vary from person to person but can take up to 3 months post treatment to show the final results. It should also be noted that the best outcomes and transformations result when a minimum of 2 treatment phases are complete.
Coolsculpting is a fat reduction treatment that permanently reduces pockets of fat that are resistant to diet and exercise. It is not a weight loss solution but rather works best on those who are at a healthy weight (within 20 pounds of what they would consider a perfect weight) and have stubborn areas of soft squishy fat. Put simply, Coolsculpting is body contouring system that allows you to spot treat problem areas that persist even when you are at a stable/ideal weight.
