Can barely detect implant on the right side 11 years after breast augmentation - is this normal?

There are a number of possibilities that could explain the changes you are seeing. The two most significant would be implant failure/rupture or capsular contractures. It could also be simply normal changes to your breasts that have occurred over the past eleven years. A visit to your surgeon or another board certified plastic surgeon in your area would be suggested.

Thanks for your question. It doesn't sound like an emergency. You can have a mammogram to determine if there are any changes in your breasts/implants. It would also be a good idea to make plans to return to your PS for a complete evaluation and exam.

It sounds like the larger breast may be forming a capsular contracture (photos would have helped with this diagnosis). Youi should google a board certified plastic surgeon in your area for a consultation.

You may have developed a capsule on the one side. go ahead and get your mammogram just to be sure, then visit with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area.

Even if the MRI is negative, you require an in-person evaluation by a board certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes...
