Stitches keep popping through. Is this normal? (Photo)

Thank you for your question and photos.  Sutures can at times work their way out to the skin level.  This is not an allergy to the sutures or a bad reaction.  The knot of the suture is a large clump of material and although it will dissolve with time, at times it may get pushed to the surface by your body.  We simply snip it and remove it and this will fix the problem.  Best wishes.

Dear itsme12In thin skin patients, it is possible to get sutures that extrude and when that occurs they can be removed. Follow closely with your surgeon and follow his or her advice. Your results look great. congratulations!
