One side of my lip is larger after getting Juverderm Plus. Is this normal? (Photo)

There can be some swelling and/or lumps after lip injections which can last 1-2 weeks. You can apply firm pressure between two fingers on the lips for a few days, for 5 mins a time, in order to help decrease swelling and even out the lumps. If you're unhappy with your final results you can have it reversed with hyaluronidase and try a different technique next time. Best, Dr. Emer

A great deal of expertise is needed when injecting the lips, even more so when you are using a bulky filler such as Juvederm Ultra Plus. If it is not injected properly you will be left with lumps and asymmetries. That being said, it is still very early after your injections. Swelling and bruising is common and may create an uneven appearance. The swelling can take up to 2 weeks to resolve. I suggest waiting. If you are still not happy after 2 weeks then the filler can be dissolved with Hyaluronidase. Make sure you are under the care of an experienced injector. Best wishes.

Asymmetrical swelling isn't unusual. For now, just ice the lips and try a gentle massage. After a couple of weeks, the swelling should subside and you can judge your final results. If the asymmetry is still present, make an appointment with your injector to discuss. 

Thank you for providing the photos. It does appear that one side is
fuller than the other. I would ice the lip 3 times a day for 2-3 minutes
at a time to address any residual swelling. I would also gently massage
the area every time you ice. If the disparity persists after 1-2 weeks,
return for an adjustment.
As with all cosmetic procedures,
especially when it comes to fillers, the skill of the injector is
paramount. Always seek an expert in facial aesthetics, such as a
board-certified dermatologist, to maximize results while minimizing side
effects.

Swelling and bruising are common after lip injections and can persist up to two weeks.  It is too early at this point to judge the results.  The use of ice and gentle massage may be beneficial to help smooth the lips.  If after two weeks you still are concerned, return to the injector for an evaluation.

I would give yourself 2 full weeks for any swelling to subside before making any final determination on whether your lips have any post-injection asymmetries. Swelling can vary from side to side and sometimes there may be more "pokes" with the needle on one side vs the other, which can cause this. If after 2 weeks there still is asymmetry, you can have your injector address this concern. Give it a little time. Good luck!

It's common to have one side look different than the other immediately after filler.  Swelling and sometimes a little bleeding within the lip will make it fuller. You have to be patient and wait for the final result, which can take up to two weeks in some cases. If it's still uneven see your provider then.
