Why won't the edge of my lip take to the filler?

Thank you for your question.It is important to remember that lips are not symmetric from side to side, so it can be difficult to get them to look that way with filler. It can be the tissue is too tight and there are bands on that side that will prevent it from plumping the way you want it to. You could always get a second opinion in person to see if they think it is possible to try a different type of filler in that area. Good luck.

Hi , Thanks for sharing the pictures. Filling the scarred area is a difficult task most of the time in filler or fat injections. Best way to deal with problem is realising the scar adhesion well by extended subcision or surgical release and fill that area . Even after doing the release , sometime it resist the fill . Your doctor should have attempted these things. Still if you want to correct it , Surgical correction might be a option. Meet a board certified plastic surgeon in your area and get the help . 

It is impossible to say from just a photo. It could be due to your anatomy -- you might have some old scar tissue on that side which is preventing the skin from stretching to accommodate the filler or it could be due to technique. If it's the latter, seeing another really experienced injector is the best solution.
