Can I reinject my lips with filler after 2 days of the first injection?

I injected my lips with fillers for the first time 2 days ago and i wasn't happy with the shape results my lips are still bruised so can i get touch ups after 2 or 3 days of the first injection or i have to wait more time for reinjection?

Hi,Thank you for your question.While it's difficult to see a less than perfect result on a daily basis, I would strongly encourage you to wait 2 weeks before injecting additional product. Lip swelling is invariable after filler injection and typically takes at least 1 week to resolve, sometimes up to 2 weeks, if there is significant bruising. By injecting additional filler too soon, it will be difficult to accurately correct asymmetries. Imagine chasing a moving target: as swelling reduces, the lip shape will continue to change. Hope this helps!

No. You need to let your lips fully heal from your first treatment so that the injector can see your final results and judge where more filler needs to be placed. I know it's frustrating to not see what you want immediately, but for now, patience is key.

It is best that you wait until the lips have fully healed before injecting more Juvederm.  The suggested time would be two weeks.  This gives time for the bruising and swelling to subside so further treatment can be accurately determined.

Great question!  Please keep in mind that it will take 2 weeks to allow for normal postprocedure swelling and bruising to fully resolve and to see your final result.  At that point (final result), if you are not happy, please be sure to see your injector for an in-person reevaluation in order to determine the best course of action.  Hope this helps and best wishes!

I would not be happy to inject you after 2 days. You are still swollen so you have not got a true idea of the results from the first treatment . It takes up to 2 weeks for lips to settle. Give it time to settle so that when you get re injected your doctor knows exactly how full the lips are and the shape he/she is working with. This will give you a better outcome.

It is definitely too early to have touch up injections but also too early to tell if you are truly unhappy. Swelling distorts their shape, making two days post, too early to judge and too early for your doctor to do anything helpful. You need to give it a solid 7-14 days before returning for touch ups. You may even decide you don't need a touch up once the swelling subsides and the shape normalizes. Try to be patient and give your body some time to heal before making your decision.

You could have your lips injected again but it not a wise idea since your lips are still little swollen and it is harder to judge where you need more volume and make a definite assessment on the shape and definition of your lips.

Thank you for your question.  The lips are a very sensitive area, and are prone to swelling and bruising for up to two weeks after filler injections.  This swelling and bruising can temporarily alter the shape of your lips, making them appear uneven or asymmetric - since it has only been 2 days since your injections, it is impossible to assess what your final results will be at this time.  For now, I would recommend gently applying ice or cool compresses to your lips to help the swelling resolve sooner.  I would recommend waiting two weeks before any touch-ups.  Best of luck!

The challenge associated with this is swelling.  How will you know when you have injected too much or too little?  I think it would be a good idea just to wait for 4 weeks.  Be patient and get the best result you can.  If you re-inject now and it is too much then you wont be satisfied with the result.  Be patient and you will do well! I hope this helps

of course you can inject your lips, but the big problem is is that no one would ever recommend you do that, as it is not considered standard practice and is definitely wrong in your case as your lips are still bruised. You have to give your lips a chance to heal first and that should take about 1 to 2 weeks. After that period of time you can definitely attempt to inject another syringe of a filler of your choice.
