What exactly is meant by a revision to correct what I’m showing in the picture? Does this require a complete procedure again. Not happy with how I look and don’t want to look like this on my wedding day in June 2019. I will see my PS again on 2/26 and I like to know his suggestions to my healing process.
Answer: Wait until the time is appropriate and FaceTite may help As everyone else has mentioned, it is important to wait until the area softens in order to avoid further problems; usually about 6 months. FaceTite is a device that places radiofrequency under the skin and on top of it. This can help tighten the skin, break up some of the scarring, and coagulate vessels that can cause further bleeding and recurrent hematoma, particularly in the neck. Your procedure will certainly require undermining in the neck that is, at least, equivalent to what you had before.

Answer: Neck lift revision It is always better to wait with revisions since time help to "define" problem and eliminate influence of swelling and early scars. You should wait at least 6 months if not longer after first procedure, unfortunately. Skin excision and lower face/neck lift would be more appropriate based on this photo. Rushing with revision and not doing complete surgery would most likely end up with similar result. Good luck.

Answer: Neck lift revision Thank you for your question, and I'm sorry you're having problems after your surgery. From your photo appears you only had an incision under your chin (not around your ears also). I think you will benefit from a revision procedure, likely using both approaches to remove the excess skin that is still present. This cannot be tighten/removed with an incision under your chin alone. Unfortunately it is always best to wait at least 6 months for the scars and tissues to soften so any revision surgery is easier and safer. Keep close communication with your plastic surgeon, or consider seeking secondary input from a different board certified plastic surgeon.Best wishes, Dr. Lindsay

Answer: Revision neck lift Hello and thank you for your question. How long ago was your surgery? It sounds like you had a neck hematoma which has resulted in skin laxity of your neck. This will likely benefit from a revision necklift. I recommend that you discuss this in detail with your surgeon who can evaluate you in person or seek a second opinion consultation. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon

Answer: When is meant by a revision neck lift due to complications/hematoma? (Photo) Thank you for sharing your question and photograph. Unfortunately a revision in your case will likely entail redoing the entirety of the skin dissection of your original neck lift. This will allow for redraping of the skin to a smoother overall appearance. Hope this helps.
