Due to my blood pressure getting extremely high after the surgery: hematoma which required opening it and flushing out the fluids. Being followed up every other day draining fluid and the PS has injected steroids twice so far. I’m getting married in 6/19 did not want to look like this.

Answer: Scaring after neck hematoma/seroma Unfortunaterly this is very unpleasant complication of neck surgery after bleeding and seroma formation in the neck. Fat tissue and muscle heal with thick scar that takes months to soften and improve. Ultrasound massage (you may purchase US massage kit for $40-50 on internet) may soften scars and lumps and help to speed up this process. No surgery is advised at this stage. Good luck.

Answer: Will this get better at my 3 month follow up? Thank you for sharing your question and photographs. Most likely a revision will be required but nothing should be done for at least 6 months after your initial procedure. Once a hematoma forms, the degree of tissue thickening and scarring varies and time is needed to see what the final results will be. Hope this helps.
