My neck skin is starting to loosen under chin (more apparent in real life than in photo), and my jowls are starting to droop. The photo where I'm pulling up the skin along jawline and neck is all the improvement I'm hoping for. What course of action would be best for me? I hear about collagen tightening (non invasive) options, or should I consider a mini neck lift etc? I'm 40.
Answer: Neck and jawline concerns From the submitted photos it appears you are a good candidate for Morpheus8. This noninvasive treatment uses RF technology combined with microneedling to improve overall skin tone and texture. Typically three treatment sessions are recommended for optimal results. We also recommend using medical grade skin care products like Transform MD and wearing sunscreen every day.

Answer: Skin Tightening for the Neck with Kybella, Ultherapy, thermage, pdo nova threads, exilis, VASER, ThermiRF, Neck lift, J plasma, A combination approach would give the most improvement. Kybella, PDO Nova Threads, Ultherapy and/or ThermiRF treatments (Venus Legacy) are non-invasive options that would do well in combination for skin tightening for the neck. VASER with ThermiRF is a great alternative for contouring and tightening the chin and neck and can be combined with a neck lift at the same time, if you're a candidate. See a cosmetic dermatologist for a long term treatment plan. Best, Dr. Emer.

Answer: What does a Non surgical jawline and neck lift accomplish? Great questions. My patients that start to see jawline and chin laxity, typically around 40-45 yr of age have been very happy with a combination of skin tightening and medical skincare therapies. Typically after an in depth examination and discussion of your expectations and your stages of facial bony and soft tissue aging, we will develop a flexible plan to achieve the results you are looking for. Because your face, jawline and neck will continue to age, most of my patients come in for maintenance evaluations and treatments. It is always best to visit with a few Plastic Surgeons, certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery and who have experience using nonsurgical and surgical techniques so that you can understand all of your options for the aging changes you see now and for those that will develop as you age. Best wishes!

Answer: PDO Threads to tighten jawline and neck Thank you for your question and photos. It is difficult to determine the best option for you without a face to face consult, however after viewing your photos you are a great candidate for a PDO Thread Lift using NovaThreads. PDO threads are placed after local anesthesia and there is minimal downtime after the procedure. PDO threads begin to dissolve after 6 months, however their ability to stimulate the growth new collagen will leave you looking more youthful than before the procedure. Threads can also be combined with other cosmetic therapies such as neurotoxins (Botox, Dysport, Xeomin) and filler to achieve lifechanging results without surgery. It is important to see an experienced aesthetic provider to optimize your safety and procedure outcomes. Best of luck, Dr. Kian
