Juvedérm injections sitting above vermillion border? Is this normal? (photos)

Normally, it can take up to two weeks for any swelling to go down in order to see the final results. If you are still unsatisfied with your results, I recommend you return to your injector or a board certified plastic surgeon for an evaluation. They should be able to dissolve the filler with hylauronidase if you choose to do so.Best of luck!

Swelling can be typical after lip fillers. I would wait a full two weeks after your touch-up before assessing your results. If you're unhappy with your result, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. Hope this helps.

The look you are concerned about may be from filler placement, but it appears you still have swelling.  It can take up to two weeks for the swelling to resolve.  If after that time you still are not satisfied with the result, return to your injector for an evaluation.  If you choose to do so hyaluronidase can be injected to dissolve the product.

Thanks for the photographs. Your lips appear to be extremely large, most likely due to severe swelling. Give yourself approximately two weeks after the initial treatment for the swelling to come down and then reevaluate the situation. Good luck from New York City

Style, amount, and technique will determine the outcome of filler in the lips. I would disagree with the advice given to the patient. This can be reversed with hyaluronidase. The patient should seek another injector if she does not like the result.

If you have been injected less than 2 weeks ago, I’d advise waiting for the full 2 weeks to pass to allow the swelling to go down. Swelling occurs where filler isn’t. Swelling occurs around the filler. It’s possible it’s Just swellin. Follow up with your injector if it doesn’t decrease. good luck!

If you are unhappy with the results after the swelling goes down you can have your injector use hyaluronidase to dissolve the product. The results are immediate. Good luck!
