Yes, you can have lip augmentation with fillers. I prefer to use a micro cannula to inject the lips to prevent bruising. Look for a cosmetic dermatologist or plastic surgeon who is an expert in fillers to discuss your desired results and concerns and go over the cost of your procedure. I hope this helps.
Hello and thank you for your question. The lips are very vascular with numerous vessels in all of us. Injectors are aware of the vascularity and inject accordingly. Most injections are in the vermillion border which lies just inside the mucosa of the lip. I also utilize ice in the injection process which shrinks vessels as well. I think the most important factor when considering any filler injection is to avoid products which make you bleed. These include, Aspirin, Motrin, Ibuprofen, Advil, fish oil, vitamin E and flaxseed oil. If you can avoid these products 5 days prior to your procedure your results will be enhanced. Best of luck to you.
Yes, you can have filler in your lips. I would suggest an in-person consultation with a seasoned injector. They will do an assessment and discuss with you your concerns and aesthetic goals. They can answer any questions that you may have in regards to risks and side effects with dermal fillers. Best of luck.
Hello, thank you for your question. The lips are highly vascular, meaning that many arteries and veins run through them and sometimes they are more visible on some people. So its absolutely fine to treat your lips with filler. An experienced injector will be able to examine and avoid the blood vessels as best as possible to decrease the chances of bruising. All the best,-Melody PAC
These blood vessels will not be a problem with regards to lip filler treatment. I recommend you see an experienced injector for best results. I prefer hyaluronic acid based fillers like Restylane and Restylane Silk when treating the lips. Good luck!
After looking at your photo, it appears that it would be fine to have a dermal filler injected into your lips. I suggest a detailed consultation with a provider and be sure to mention and show them your blood vessel concern.
Yes, it is safe. We all have blood vessels in our lips, some are deeper and some can be more shallow, as in your case. If you see an experienced injector, they will be able to avoid that area, decrease risk for bruising (but bruising is still always a risk with anyone) and inject you safely. Best of luck!

We usually prepare patients for at least 3-4 days of significant bruising and swelling following juvederm in the lips. The most significant downtime is the first 3-4 days, however, we do not even add additional product until a patient is 2 weeks post injection simply because some level of...
I recommend fillers to soften the nasolabial folds themselves and also lift around the mouth and cheeks to build underlying anatomical support. In our practice we combine Sculptra with other fillers "layered" on top and lasers, skin tightening treatments such as Thermage, Fractora, and Renuvion...
Swelling and/or lumps can be typical. Icing, firm massage and cold compresses may give improvement. I would wait a full 2 weeks before judging the results. If it is after the two week wait, you can have the filler reversed with hyaluronidase. I hope this helps!
