In my 62 1/2 years of life I have never written a review about anyone or any business. I believe my experience and results with Dr. Gregory and staff afford this praise. I started my search 5 yrs ago for a plastic surgeon specializing in face lifts. I lived in Naples and had 3 consultations. Still not finding what I was looking for I researched board certified, highly reviewed and recommended plastic surgeons all over the state of Florida. I asked for recomendations from trusted physician friends. I finally narrowed my search down to two surgeons. One day I asked my hair dresser how she kept her skin so beautiful knowning she was my age. Thankfully, she shared and said I had a facelift by Dr. Gregory last year. I found what I was looking for, a completely natural facelift removing years of lines, bags and sags! And he was one of my final two surgeons. It has been 5 months since my proceedure and I am continually amazed by the years he took off my face without any pulling or unnatural effects. WOW Dr. Gregory is truly an artist and amazing plastic surgeon. I also must give credit to his entire team. You are only as good as your staff...and they are amazing!
Dr. Gregory is a skilled cosmetic surgeon...really an artist! He listens to his patients desires and gives honest, professional guidance about the process to achieve the results desired. Beyond his professional expertise, Dr. Gregory’s kind and spiritual support are beyond measure. One only needs to speak to his staff to discover how he is loved and respected!
Deciding on facial surgery is a big decision in itself, finding the person to trust your face to is even more daunting. I had two consultations with other plastic surgeons before deciding on Dr. Gregory. When I left those doctor's offices I just didn't have a peaceful feeling. I felt I still had a weight on me. From the first time I met Dr. Gregory and he went over the procedures he could perform and what my expectations could be I was totally comfortable. I had a SMAS facelift and Co2 laser resurfacing on my face, neck and decollete. The results were and continue to be amazing and its been two years. I had the dreaded hereditary turkey neck that is gone and as a matter of fact, I don't mind looking at my profile now at all. Dr. Gregory is also a perfectionist. He redid areas on my face x 2 with laser because he just felt that the areas could look better and he was right. While I did have to put up with a little discomfort I was thrilled that he wanted me to look my absolute best. Dr. Gregory's staff is also great. They do their best to answer your questions and even share their own facial surgery experiences. I would recommend Dr. Gregory to anyone looking for a caring and pleasant doctor and experience!
Dr. Richard Gregory is the most wonderfuly skilled cosmetic surgeon!! I’ve had and seen many of his cosmetic procedures. He’s an amazing Dr. I would definitely recommend him for any cosmetic procedure.
Dr. Richard Gregory is one those legendary doctors that are a dying breed. He has done several procedures to my face over the last 10 years and turned me from looking TWICE as old as I really was, into someone that is now, getting asked for ID when I am making an alcohol purchase! at 54 years of age! I am a 54 year old male and my last procedure was a long overdue lower face / neck lift and chin implant, as well as fractional lasering. Prior to this procedure, ten years ago when I was 44, he performed a coronal brow lift, upper and lower blepharoplasty and ablative laser (UltraPulse) treatment. Unfortunately, at that time, I did not address the lower part of my face because it not as aged as the upper. This first procedure ten years ago, yielded amazing results and first showed me his masterful skills. It required a second procedure as my skin is just so sun-damaged and loose but when it was all over, I looked half my age. Fast forward ten years to the present. The results of that ten-year old procedure were still holding but my lower face looked like I was over 100 years old and I had a "Benjamin Buttons" appearance with a youthful upper face but prehistoric-looking lower face. So back to Dr. Gregory I went. As much as I studied what can be done and what to expect, I had little hope for my neck. The neck skin I had was so loose, that even 90+ year old people I encountered actually had less sag than me. The recent procedure involved a chin implant, lower face / neck lift, and fractional CO2 laser. I must digress for a moment on the subject of lasers. Dr. Gregory's UltraPulse laser is no longer functional and it was a disappointment it could not be used. The current fractional lasers used today in the aesthetic surgery industry, are NOTHING like the more powerful, ablative CO2 lasers of the earlier day. Yes, the downtime and pain is more, but nothing used today compares to the UltraPulse results. That laser alone, can actually replace much of the surgical procedures, it's THAT good. Back to the recent procedure. The results were so amazing, that 2.5 months after surgery (after the swelling had gone down), I was on a 3 week vacation and went to a grocery store I had always gone to over the past 5 years when on holiday there. On THREE different occasions by three different cashiers, over the course of that time, I was asked for ID when purchasing alcohol. The first time, the cashier called over another cashier as neither could believe I was 54. Even if their policy is to card purchases when a customer may look up to 30 years old, this was 3 weeks of people thinking at worse, I was a 30 year old instead of a 54 year old! During the previous 5 years of using this SAME grocery store while on past vacations, I was NEVER asked for ID. The incision techniques Dr. Gregory used were unlike anything I had seen in medical papers and the way he went about the procedure was THE ONLY way he would have been able to achieve the incredible result he did in tightening my neck and lower face. I am certain that conventional incision maps would not have been able to tighten my neck and lower face. The areas that Dr. Gregory placed the incisions and the skill he used in cutting were such that you could not even see the incisions in most areas, 7 days post-op! I attribute this not to his board certification and all the papers he has written. This was pure genius and artistry. This was the result of being able to tackle a problem with unique solutions and then have the skill to execute the idea. THAT is what makes a phenomenal physician in cosmetic surgery. Dr. Gregory has never rushed me out of the office or made me feel I am taking too much of his time. He has been so generous and caring in providing a TOTAL treatment of my issues that I cannot even compare him to most other physicians I know of. Today, money and time is what most only care about in the medical field but being treated by Dr. Gregory was as if he was a family member ONLY concerned with doing all he could do to give me the best results and care. My review of Dr. Gregory is long overdue. He may have the reputation that he doesn't need internet reviews, but after all I have benefited from in his care, telling my story is the least I can do to honor the satisfaction and admiration I have for him, over these past 10 years.
Dr. Richard Gregory is the best plastic surgeon. I had a face lift 23 days ago and just so pleased with the result as of right now. I cannot speak highly enough about the professionalism, knowledge, kindness, care, and yes even a lot of laughter. Dr. Dr.Gregory and staff are wonderful. When you walk you feel you are in the right place. They make you feel so cared for, it is just amazing. They also offer you a whole year of follow ups, facials, etc. I will continue to post as time goes on. I am including a few pictures now. AGAIN if you need a face lift Dr. Gregory is your guy!! Blessing to all of them.
I wasn't treated by him just went for the consultation for tear trough area problem done by another doctor .I have to write a review about these excellent people .I think other people should also check these great people before choosing their doctor. The lady who made my appointment told me that he has no time in near future but when I told her my situation she gave me 15 min free consultation very next day in their very busy schedule . and when I arrived there I was very impressed with the staff welcoming behavior And my experience with dr. Gregory was beyond my acceptation, very gentle and soft spoken highly knowledgeble doctor. He explained everything in so much detail and tried to make an appointment for me to see oculoplastic surgeon in the same building . If I need anything cosmetic procedure in future I will go to this place where patient are the first priority . On my way out they also wish me luck for my recovery .
Dr. Gregory did my Facelift in August of 2008. He also did a CO2 laser on my face. Dr. Gregory and his staff were wonderful and I never had any hesitation. They took excellent care of me and I did not have one bruise. I was out in public in makeup looking great 10 days after the procedure. I can't say enough good things about Dr. Gregory. 8 years out and I still don't look my age or close. Wow!!
I was born with a disfiguring hemangioma on my lower lip and chin. My parents brought me to Dr. Gregory as a child and I have had multiple surgeries since then to reconstruct my lower lip. Dr. Gregory has done an amazing job with all of the procedures he performed. Today my hemangioma is unnoticeable and I look and feel great about myself. Dr. Gregory has been a part of my life for over 15 years and I will never be able to thank him enough for his talents and expertise. If you are considering having a birthmark removed by Dr. Gregory, I highly recommend him.
Looking in the mirror was difficult. I felt I needed some work on my sagging neck skin. I'm headed out this year to a career change and thought some cosmetic surgery on my turkey neck would give some needed self-esteem. I had fractional laser and a full face lift. The only way to get the results I wanted for neck required a face lift. Neck lift would not produce the desired results. I had a muscle split under my chin which in turn resulted in turkey look on neck. Updated on 9 Jan 2016: I had co2 and sellas fractional laser surgery. Today I'm so swollen I can hardly open my mouth to brush my teeth the skin has intensified in redness. There is a burning sensation that is lessened with moist chilly baby wash cloths immersed in cool water and white vinegar . Updated on 11 Jan 2016: The laser for the skin should produce excellent results I'm quite red with lots of splotches. I'll post more photos as I heal. The neck skin is real tight and swollen. The clips behind my ears feel real weird. It's hard to move around with such a tight neck. Right now I have lots of skin sores on my face they are healing. Updated on 13 Jan 2016: Face is still super swollen and numb. The laser left a bunch of red welts and face and neck and chest. I'm off pain meds and had staples removed from my head. It didn't hurt to have them removed. I still have difficulty turning my head I feel like a velociraptor creature that turns whole body and not neck. Updated on 15 Jan 2016: i don't regret the surgery I just regret how little time I put into deciding to cut myself up. I know in time the numbness will fade and the tightness will feel normal the results are better than expected but what a severe step to do to look good. Surgery is NOT for the timid. Updated on 20 Jan 2016: Today the numbness seems to be the main remaining issue. My neck and one side of my face. The effects of laser are really starting to show much of my prior sun damaged skin is mucho improved. I have to host a party tonight and I'm wondering what crazy story I will invent to cover my chin stitches . Updated on 29 Jan 2016: The scars are healing pretty well it's three weeks and the little bump in front of ear that's part of ear has healed miraculously! I was super worried about that little piece since the tightened skin is cut there and reattached onto the ear. Swelling is still in my face along with numbness. I was also concerned about the ear lobe and I had a lot of frequent bleeding while the ear lobe reattached back to my face. It's a crazy journey to turn back time. I really do not regret going through this since it's the only possible way to achieve my desired results. Dr. Gregory is so exceptional in his work I'm still baffled at how he can achieve such a natural result. He explained all the different types of skin and its thickness we have and how he needs to blend the thin skin on the ear to the more layered skin on the face to produce a natural blended transition. A real master of the arts at work.
Skin redness is caused by the capillary bed of vessels in the skin. The degree of redness is related to dilation of the capillaries and can be a result of emotion (flushing), medication (vasodilator drugs), disease (rosacea), trauma (broken capillaries such as bruising), warmth (sauna), alcohol, etc to name a few. Other causes include age and heredity. Healing after surgery will cause erythema and this can be aggravated by warmth. In the early phases of healing after surgery erythema caused by these factors can complicate the healing and lead to undesirable side effects.
Tachycardia during almost any surgery is common because of the anxiety factor. In addition epinephrine, topical anesthetics (e.g. cocaine) etc can add to the rapid heartbeat. This is manageable in most instances and rarely leads to other problems. Death is extremely rare and can be related to underlying heart problems. This should be discussed with your surgeon, but do not be fearful (it aggravates the problem). The proper use of these drugs is very helpful and in some instances is essential.
Remember that cosmetic surgery is for the patient, not other family members, friends, etc. If you feel that something should be done, then: is it safe, effective, affordable and will it satisfy you? The answer in your case is likely YES. There are other considerations that require a consultation with a qualified surgeon to address with you. For instance limitations are present (skin thickness, draping over the revised bone/cartilaginous framework, etc.) The most common reason for an unhappy patient is unrealistic expectations. That is largely up to the patient.
The time frame is important in this case. If within 3 months massage (?lymphatic massage) would be helpful. Some authorities would recommend arnica montana orally. Localized spots would probably respond to steroid injection. Time is also your ally.
"What is in a name?"; Shakespeare asked. There are so many variations in the "mini" facelift that it is much more important regarding what is done rather than what it is called. You need defatting of the neck as well as tightening of the neck and face. This is not a "mini" facelift by my thinking. As an interim measure, thinking that a full facelift will be necessary in the future, I think a "FaceTite" radio frequency procedure might be a better choice which would melt fat as well as modestly tightening the skin. Less invasive, no incisions, less downtime - but also less effective than a full facelift.
