I was told no anti-inflamatories after coolsculpting. I was taking Turmeric before I had it done. I'm not in any discomfort but can I continue to take the turmeric?

Answer: CoolSculpting and anti-inflamatories: Is turmeric okay? Thanks for your question. Generally, it is not recommended to take anti-inflamatories such as ibuprofin for about 2 weeks post treatment with CoolSculpting. During this 2 week period, the treated areas tend to swell as the body rushes fluids in to begin removing the fat cells that have been destroyed. This a natural process and is necessary to achieving results faster. However, the dead fat cells will be removed, one way or another, whether you take anti-inflamatories or not. It will just take longer. I would doubt that taking turmeric will make much of a significant difference one way or the other. Good luck with your CoolSculpting.
