Hi! These pictures are 5 years apart. White shirt is now. I'm 40 years old and 6 months postpartum. I gained 60 lbs during my pregnancy and have managed to lose 50 of it since giving birth. But it's taken a huge toll on my face. My lower face droops, my jawline is mush, and my double chin won't budge. Not crazy about my neck either. Which surgical procedures would get me back to 5 years ago and approximately what would it cost? Was thinking mini facelift? I'm in Southern California. Thanks!
Answer: Too early You have some mild aging changes in your face but not enough (IMO) to warrant surgery yet. To undergo facelift surgery when there is not enough change can make people look odd and pulled. I am one of those surgeons who like to ensure I can give patients their money's worth and keep it natural looking. .

Answer: Why a lower facelift may be right for you Thank you for your question and photos. You may be a candidate for a neck lift, also known as a lower facelift, to remove excess skin, lift sagging skin, and angulate your neck and jawline. This procedure targets the neck and throat directly by removing submental fat and tightening the skin. The deeper tissues along the jawline are also tightened to create a smooth and well-defined contour. I recommend scheduling an in-person consultation with an experienced, board-certified facial plastic surgeon. They will be able to assess your concern and determine the best approach to help you achieve your aesthetic goals.

Answer: Jawline Definition / Jawline Enhancement / Facial Sculpting / Facial Contouring -- injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa For a more defined jawline to strengthen your profile (and help prevent the dreaded jawline "jowl" sagging), we use injectable fillers like Revanesse Versa - a filler known to limit swelling and give subtle, soft enhancements - or Radiesse. Using a cannula to limit pain and swelling, we inject on the bone in strategic points to get more lift and shaping, resulting in a more contoured lower face and defined, structured jawline. I would suggest getting a formal evaluation with a facial sculpting expert. Best, Dr. Emer

Answer: Face lift A variety of procedures fall within the category of a face lift. To clarify, a face lift, also known as rhytidoplasty, rhytidectomy, or meloplasty, is a common term used to describe the traditional face lift procedure which aims to enhance the lower two-thirds of the face and neck. Typically, incisions are made around and inside the ears. This procedure rejuvenates the face and neck by removing localized fat deposits such as jowls, while elevating other areas such as the malar fat pads and nasolabial folds, and tightening deeper structures such as muscle and connective tissue (SMAS). The result is a skillful redraping of the skin to create a more youthful appearance. You would greatly benefit from that procedure. I am personally based in Los Angeles and have a great experience in the area. My office staff can give you a price range, but we would need a consultation with you for the exact price based on your needs. Best regards, Dr. Haworth
