I had 1.5 injection of juvederm on each cheek my left cheek however is getting bigger and more swollen than the day I had the injections preformed and I'm in so much pain if I smile or touch it . I talked to my doctor and he said that's impossible , I even mentioned that I might have an infection but he said it's not an infection I don't know what to do help , PLEASE HElP

Contact your physician's office if there is continued concern. If that office will not care for you, seek an experienced and expert injector who would be willing to see you.

Answer: Unusual pain While some swelling and discomfort can be normal after Juvederm injections, extreme pain is not. With cosmetic injections, there's always a chance of infection unless every step is taken to avoid it.Not being able to see how it looks and without knowing how much time has elapsed after the injections, it is difficult to say whether or not you should be concerned. Your doctor should evaluate you as soon as possible if the condition persists.
