I recently asked the question why within 1 month my juvederm injections had disappeared and if that is normal. Based on the responses that I received, I realized that I did not provide enough information as one doc said I should have paid for the 2nd syringe. I was injected with a total of 3 ml of Juvederm. Juvederm Ultra XC (1 ml) was used in my lips and Juvederm Ultra Plus XC (2 ml) was used in the nasolabial and marionette lines. Was this not enough injection and caused to disappear in 1 mon?
Answer: Juvederm not lasting It is very unusual for Juvederm to resolve in a month. These products should last at least 6 months. There can be significant swelling at the time of Juvederm injections which may last 3-5 days. Once the swelling went down you may have perceived this as the Juvederm product going away.I highly recommend comparing your before and after photos. Also, please make sure that it was actually Juvederm that was injected. Please consult with your physician and review the before and after photos. You may need more product or a different product which will last longer. Best wishes.

Answer: Http://torontosurgery.ca/Toronto-Fillers-Injections.html I would suggest scheduling a follow up with your injector to assess your before and after photos. Attempting augmentation with a different product may give you better results. It is hard to assess how many syringes you would need to achieve the desired look - an in person consultation would be beneficial.

Answer: Juvederm degradation rates I'm sorry to hear that you didn't get a great duration out of your correction. People definitely metabolize their hyaluronic acid fillers at different rates, but even with that in mind you would be a huge outlier by metabolizing it that fast. It does tend to disappear faster in areas that move more, like around the mouth, but even that wouldn't fully explain it. In an ideal world, these hyaluronic acid fillers degrade in what we call an isovolemic manner, meaning even as they are degrading they are maintaining the same volume by absorbing more water as the filler continues to break down. This isn't always the case of course, and you may fall into that category.I know the last thing that you want to hear after having three mL's injected is that you may need more, but in reality putting new filler where the old filler was may actually make it last longer this time. Odds are there is still some filler left in there, it's just either degraded to the point that you don't notice it, or it's in a place where it's not providing a lot of correction, so adding more will just add on to what's already there. Maybe you can take some solace in that.Be sure to choose a dermatologist, plastic surgeon, facial plastic surgeon, or oculoplastic surgeon who is board certified in one of these 'core four' cosmetic specialties.

Answer: Juvederm not responding Juvederm disappearing after one month is quite unusual. Are you certain it was Juvederm? Without pictures its hard to say the cause as I cant determine how deep the lines were to begin with. Its possible the swelling caused the lines to appear filled temporarily and you in fact needed more filler. Juvederm typically lasts 6-9 months however some people do burn it off a little more quickly. You may need a longer lasting filler like Radiesse or Sculptra.

Answer: #Juvederm not lasting It is a bit of a mystery as to why that amount would not last more than a month. It might be helpful for you to look at your before and after photos. You may do much better with Radiesse, which lasts a year or more, or Sculptra, which lasts for two years or more, altho you cannot have either of these fillers to the lips.perhaps what you really need to lift your nasolabial folds and marionette lines is #Voluma in the cheek and jawline area. This filler lasts 2 years or more, and lifts the skin over areas where volume has been lost so that it drapes better over your areas of concern.
