I would like a more defined jawline and chin but i'm not sure the best way to achieve this in the most cost effective way. Fillers sound like a good option since it's non surgical but it would cost more in the long run

Morpheus 8 is a non-invasive skin and soft tissue tightening treatment that is consistently amazing in our patients. We use the Morpheus to exact fractional induced RF into the skin or tissue in order to tighten collagen and stimulate contraction of the tissue. For acne scars, it is quite useful to build collagen in patients who have atrophic scars but is not very productive for ice-pick scars which require TCA Cross. For tissue tightening, Morpheus is ideal for the face and neck and we often combine it with CO2 laser or Ultherapy to further enhance results. Chemical peels and skin resurfacing should be done at least 5 to 7 days after, but can be performed earlier, depending on treatment severity. Avoid exfoliating skin treatments before Morpheus and expect a period of 2-4 weeks for skin contraction to set in.

Great question! This is something I commonly get asked in my consultations reagarding chin liposuction or jawline filler. The answer is very patient specific and depends on your anatomy. Chin liposuction will remove subcutaneous fat under the chin, while jawline filler will build up the jawline. Sometimes patients need both. Chin liposuction helps reduce the bulge under the chin and can be done for the whole neck. Once the fat is removed the skin can become loose and saggy in some cases. It can be avoided by combining it with Thermitight which is a radiofrequency heat delivered under the skin to tighten it. Both chin liposuction and Thermitight can be done at the same time. The recovery is fast and it can be done under local anesthesia.

The photographs demonstrate a recessive mandible and chin profile for which a chin implant is required to permanently augment your chin forward. This also gives additional support for the soft tissues in the neck. Regarding your neck, you have significant fat deposits located both above and below the platysma muscle in your neck. A surgical neck lift is required to remove both compartments of fat. This also includes a platysma – plasty to significantly improve your jawline. No skin removal is required. Liposuction alone will be ineffective, since most of your fat is located below the muscle. A neck lift is performed under general anesthesia, while a standalone chin implant can be performed under local anesthesia.

Fillers are nice because they are short term so if you don’t like the results, you’re not stuck with a bad outcome. You can also adjust the treatment each time and fine-tune exactly where you’re at your place to get an ideal outcome. In your case you’ll need a substantial amount of product to compensate for the size of your mandible. The use of fillers will also not help define your jawline. for that well done Liposuction will be needed. Doing Liposuction really well, and getting stellar results on a consistent basis is not something every provider can do. Delivering consistent quality Liposuction results is more difficult than most people believe. The number of plastic surgeons who are truly excellent and Liposuction is relatively small and patient should be very selective when it comes to choosing providers for permanent and irreversible operation.
Your chin is lacking essentially in volume so the cost of doing the fillers is going to catch up quickly in comparison to having a definitive procedure. I suggest consulting with both plastic surgeons and oral surgeons to get an accurate assessment and better understanding of treatment options.

I am a bit surprised at some of the advice given. You have a basic underdeveloped lower jaw and chin. The assessment should involve xrays and perhaps an orthodontic assessment. Simplistically, a genioplasty will increase the natural projection and 'flatten' the area under the chin due to the muscle pull with the advancing genioplasty. Talk to a maxillofacial surgeon
