Is the dark spot at the bottom of my areola a scab or necrosis? I am 16 days post op. I noticed this today after showering.
Answer: 2 weeks post op, some advices: Thanks for the question. Its early to talk about final results. In my practice, after performing a BA with lift I recommend to my patients to limit the movement of the arms for two weeks. After that, you can move your arms taking care and always with common sense. In this regard, it's not advisable to carry heavy weights to prevent the implant out of position, and allow the formation of the physiological capsule around the implant, also to avoid pain and breast swelling.Kind regards,Dr. Emmanuel Mallol.-

Answer: I am 16 days post op breast lift with BA. I noticed a scab at the bottom of my areola. Is this necrosis or just a scab? Hello dear, thanks for your question and provided information as well… I have to say that you are still early on healing process, it is too soon to determine how your results are going to be, per now, they look very nice and beautiful, you can have one bigger than the other, it is normal and that can happen for the first 3 months until your implants have settle in. I recommend you to wait and keep using your post surgical bra, that will help you with the shape and support. Hugs!

Answer: I am 16 days post op breast lift with BA. I noticed a scab at the bottom of my areola. Is this necrosis or just a scab? It is difficult to say without an examination or cleansing of the scab, but my suspicion is that it is only a scab and that the area will heal normally. Of course see your plastic surgeon for an examination.

Answer: Post Op Breast Lift with Implants Hi and thanks for the question. It is hard to tell from your photo if this is surface scab or deeper tissue necrosis. The majority of your skin looks very healthy with no signs of tissue compromise.I suggest seeing your surgeon about this and having an exam. Best of Luck- Dr Hardy...

Answer: Scab at incision This can be crust, or some superficial healing issues. Hard to say without an exam. Best to follow with your surgeon and follow his instructions.
