CAN PMMA be removed from buttocks..and can my butt be saved with out deformation by doing fat transfer or implants?

Unfortunately it is impossible to remove all of the PMMA, however, it is possible to remove small areas of it if and when it causes a problem such as migration or hardening.  Depending upon the deformation, if any, after partial excision, either implants or fat transfer may be indicated.  Glad to help.

I have had the opportunity of treating many patients with PMMA, oil, and silicone injections into the buttocks. Each case is individualized and may require liposuction or direct excision for removal and fat injections, implants, or flaps for contouring. Most importantly, treatment tries to avoid the future complications you may experience from the injections.

You can not completely remove PMMA injected material from the buttocks. But liposuction can be done to break it up and partially remove some of it. Then fat injections are required to fill in where liposuction has been done and/or directly into the muscle as well. Fat injections can also be done alone to either alleviate any symptoms caused by the PMMA material (pain, lumpiness) or to have further buttock augmentation.
