Is my compression garment causing my pubic area to break out?

Question

I had liposuction on inner thigh, abdomen, and flanks and a Brazilian butt lift about two weeks ago. However, my garment is rubbing the skin around pubic area and it is causing the skin to peel off as well as a discoloration and mulitiple bumps. I was told to use hydrocortisone by the nurse but it does not seem to be any improvement? Any other advice

I would go back to your plastic surgeon with the garment on and let him or her evaluate the area of concern. If the garment is easily altered plastic surgeon can alter it or if the garment needs to be reordered for better fit in your pubic area. That probably needs to be done.

Thank you for the question.I suggest to put a small facial towel or a clean, new sock under the garment in that particular area. This will help out with the rubbing skin and peeling.Best wishes,Dr. Campos

It is quite possible that you garment is causing the problems. Best to be seen in person to adjust the garment or show you how to use it so it does not rub as much.
