13 year old getting liposuction?

My daughter is very mature and smart. She currently weighs 192 pounds and is 5'3. The weight was brought on due to excessive amounts of stress. She can't play her favorite sports anymore and she Isn't happy. She is very active and social but with her weight she cannot participate like she used to in activities. Please give me advice. What surgeon to go to? Will they preforme surgery on her? Thank you.

I can see why this is a concern for you. Without physical examination it's impossible to conclude what is specifically wrong. Sometimes inadequate liposuction may require a revision to make the results uniform. If the problem is excess skin this is another situation altogether. In My opinion...

There is some evidence on the use of stimulants and diuretics post liposuction to decrease swelling and improve outcomes.  I have all my patients on this type of regimen and back to the gym in 7-10 days.  Best, Dr. Emer.

A person's weight can fluctuate considerably after liposuction or other operations not just from the tissue that was removed.  Temporary issues like fluid retention or constipation can also have an effect.  If you have any concerns I would mention them to your physician.

Having had liposuction myself and having performed it on many patients for most it's physiologically fairly mild. As long as your health is stable I don't see a problem with liposuction.
