13 year old getting liposuction?

I would advise you to meet with your daughter's pediatrician rather than a plastic surgeon. An exercise regimen and nutritional changes will benefit her more than a surgical procedure.

I don't think it would be a good idea for liposuction in your 13-year-old. Weight loss is necessary for good health and liposuction is not a weight loss procedure.

I would agree with the other physicians who have replied.I would recommend a visit to your pediatrician to outline diet/exercise changes to address her weight.  Surgery is inappropriate in this setting.

13 years of age is too you to have liposuction.  Your daughters weight issue be be much better served by a consolation with a nutritionalist.  Furthermore, your daughter's body is going to change significantly between now and say 5 years from now when she would be 18 y.o., and perhaps the earliest anyone would consider doing liposuction.  In fact, she may even shed some of the fat with natural growth by then.
