Liposuction pricing is dependent on a lot of things but mainly the expertise of the surgeon and how detailed the procedure. The type of liposuction shouldn't matter as the person using the tool is always better than any tool on its own. I have 5 different devices and customize my approach to each person, their goals, and their body shapes. Anyone discounting for areas or size of the person is really not doing liposculpting, they are doing bulk reduction of fat and that never gives the best results. You should go to someone with expertise, who specializes in body shaping/contouring, and has a practice dedicated to this type of procedure. This will limit any complications or poor results. Best, Dr. Emer.
On balance depending on the patient's BMI in choice of anesthetic liposuction cost somewhere between 1000 and $1500 per area.
The fees for liposuction will vary from surgeon to surgeon. Hard to say what is appropriate for you and your specific procedure in your home community.
Hello. IT is hard to give prices for surgery like lipo because it varies by region and also by surgeon. In the area I work, the prices range from 5-10k-- a wide variation, again due to all of these factors. Remember, that this is an important decision, and you get what you pay for-- so the most important factor is your safety, and comfort with the surgeon. It is important to choose a surgeon who is board certified in plastic surgery AND who does liposuction routinely.Good luck.
Price varies and so does quality. In general, I would stay away from providers advertising deals that seem too good to be true. There are often fine print bait-and-switch offers. That said, paying more is no guarantee the quality of work will be better. Many surgeons are reluctant to perform liposuction below the knees.Because of this, you may find slightly higher prices per area.Depending on where you have your work done, prices may vary from $1,000-$3,000 per area. I think $1,500 per area plus facility and possible anesthesia fees is a fair price when three or more areas are treated.I prefer to do liposuction using conscious sedation, avoiding general anesthesia. It's usually easily tolerated and has many benefits. Relying only on a pain pill can leave some patients challenged if the procedure is done correctly. Our facility fee is typically around $1,000 per hour. That's for a fully accredited OR in a hospital. To me, that offers the highest level of safety and access to the best equipment. My my practice is devoted almost entirely to SmartLipo. That said, I don't believe my results or patients' healing processes are significantly different than non-laser liposuction. Don't put too much credence into the hype and spin. Do pay close attention to the experience of the surgeon, proper training in plastic surgery, honest demeanor and online reviews. Consider consulting with several plastic surgeons. That was a little more than just price. I hope it helped.A total package for $5,500 is reasonable for someone experienced who delivers high-quality work.Best of luck,Mats Hagstrom, M.D.
Dear lp22,Thank you for your clinical post and liposuctionpricing. Like the pricing of anycosmetic plastic surgery is highly dependent upon the practice itself, thesurgeon, the surgeon’s experience, the relative size of body mass index anddifficulty of the patient’s contour issues. In general, single site liposuction in Toronto can rangeanywhere from $2,500.00 to $6,000.00 or more. Although the knees, calves and ankles tend to be smaller in size andrelative amount of fat to remove they are also fraught with aestheticchallenges and difficulties and have a relatively high complication rate andmany experienced liposuction plastic surgeons in Canada would avoid liposuctionof this area entirely. You’ll need toseek out the expertise of someone with a lot of experience in liposuctionparticularly liposuction of the knees, calves and ankles. Often delicate techniques such as advancedenergy assisted procedures using ultrasound (VaserLipo) laser (SmartLipo),radio frequency energy (BodyTite) might be deployed. In some circumstances in the past have evenelected to treat just one calf and ankle at a time. There is a higher risk of deep venousthrombosis and the perception of increased risk of palmer embolus with lipocontouring procedures performed on this area. The skin and contour of the calf and ankle is relatively unforgiving andsometimes the undesirable shape and contours due to larger underlyingmusculature.I would seek the ongoing advice of a cosmetic plastic surgeonthat you feel confident with and I’m sure with a cautious and reasonableapproach to contouring you’ll end up with improvement.I hope this information has been of some assistance and bestof luck. For more information, please review the link below.R.
