I was injected with 10 units of botox to each side of my masseter muscle for a total of 20 units. I am afraid I will not see any reduction in the size of my large round jawline and I feel a little baited, like only a small amount was injected so I would have to come back for more. Is there a difference if I do 10 units now and 15 in 2-3 weeks than if I had done 25 units at my first visit? Thank you!!

Answer: Botox and Masseters In korea they are using 60 units per each side, I start with 30 and wait 3-6 weeks to consider more. 10 units likely will not give much of a result, but if does, the results will likely only be short lived. Best of luck, Dr. Emer.

Answer: Masseter hypertrophy treatment typically requires 25-35 units of Botox per side For Masseter hypertrophy treatment you typically need 25-35 units per side, 20 units in some faces. Re-treat again in 6 months for optimal results. 10 units per side will probably not be enough but if you add more units within 6 weeks it will be additive to what you already had. If you were just charged per unit it shouldn't cost you any more to treat over 2 treatments vs. the same total amount given in one visit, just the inconvenience of 2 visits.
