Would Botox in the forehead still allow me to have some forehead expression lines when I raise my eyebrows?

The more you want to improve the forehead lines, the more you have to reduce muscle function. So if you want to preserve some brow function, you have to accept some residual lines.

If done well, botox can "soften" your movement and thus improve wrinkles but not get rid of them completely... this is a more natural look.  You have to decide on your goals and go to a well trained injector.  Best, Dr. Emer.

Botox can keep your four head expression if properly done. See a very experienced injector for this.       

OnFireSolo,Botox is generally an on off switch for muscle activity. I get a fair amount of actors/actresses in my practice that are looking to reduce wrinkles but keep some expression. Thank you for your question.  Yes it is possible to administer Botox in the forehead and only soften your forehead lines, not completely remove them.  This will allow you to maintain some animation during expression. Find a board certified plastic surgeon who can help make recommendations on the amount of Botox you would need.

It is absolutely possible to treat your forehead in such a way that you still have the ability to animate. The ability to provide a natural result is one of the things that my patients love most about botox. It does require that you find a skilled injector to deliver the results that you are looking for but it sounds like they most certainly could be achieved.
