9 months post op. Stomach looks fine standing or laying down. Original surgeon in Miami says I need lipo 360. Local surgeon says I don't need lipo to the abdomen but that the issue is the skin could've been pulled down more. I am getting liposuction to the sides, back, and waist.
Answer: Tummy tuck results After a tummy tuck, when a patient sits or bends over some excess skin is normal. To determine if you have more than what would normally be expected before/after photos would be needed. If you have excess fat and little excess skin then liposuction should improve your results. If there is excess skin, then a revision to the tummy tuck would address this.

Answer: Revision for Excess Skin After Tummy Tuck Thank you for your question and for sharing your photos. From the standing position, it appears that your tummy tuck results are excellent. However, in the seated position, it is evident that excess skin and fat drapes over the incision and lower pubic region. Based on your photos, it seems like a revision tummy tuck might be necessary to remove this excess skin further. This could be done through the original incision, primarily focusing on excising extra skin and possibly some residual fat. The muscle repair done in your initial tummy tuck should not need to be repeated. It's important to note that liposuction would not likely be helpful in your case. Liposuction focuses on removing fat but does not address excess skin. Given that your primary issue seems to be excess skin, a tummy tuck revision would be more suitable. As always, it's crucial to discuss this with your plastic surgeon to come up with the best plan tailored to your needs and goals. Sincerely, Dr. Katzen

Answer: 9 months post tummy tuck Dear rebekah29, I understand your concern. However, without a proper assessment, it would be difficult to determine what went wrong. It is best that you visit your plastic surgeon for further assessment or ask for a second opinion. Only after a thorough examination, you can get proper recommendations and advice. Answer: Loose skin after tummy tuck Thank you for your question. In my experience it is very difficult to not have some loose skin when bent at the waist after a tummy tuck. As far as Lipo 360 I believe you would be a great candidate

Answer: Abdominoplasty issues Dear Rebekah, Your photos are less than optimal so answering your questions accurately is difficult. That being said, both pre-op and post op naked frontal photos would help immensely. It does appear that you have some abdominal fat that would benefit from liposuction. Best wishes. Dr. Taranow
