I have attached before and after photos of my nose. I am 1 year post op and I hate my rhinoplasty results. My nose is so much wider and bigger then it used to be. It is also crooked and my nostrils are flared and way bigger than they used to be. I am looking to have a revision but scared it could end up worse. My original surgeon suggested taking out some cartilage to fix the problem, but I am going to look into some other plastic surgeons. What went wrong and is this fixable?

Answer: Wide, crooked nose and flared nostrils It appears that your tip of the nose dropped after your surgery resulting in a poly beak. If the poly beak is related to thick skin, then steroid shots will be required. If the poly beak is due to excessive residual cartilage, then a Revision surgery is required. An alar-plasty is required to narrow wide nostrils. Also important to release the depressor septi ligament which dynamically pulls the tip down when smiling.
