57, former smoker of 40 years - is it safe to have a breast lift?

I am 57 quit smoking 1 1/2 years ago have type 2 diabetes that is controlled but surgeon won’t do the breast lift with removing breast implants because he said I smoked for 40 years.

Only a small amount of tissue is removed during a lift, therefore you would be about the same size as you are now. Auto-augmentation would not be necessary.
