Hi doctors i am a 26 year old with children. I️ don’t plan on having any more and was considering a tummy tuck. I have no previous or current medical issues. At 220 am i able to get a tummy tuck without loosing a lot of weight prior ( i like my size just not my loose skin from having kids).
Answer: Can I get a tummy tuck without having to lose a lot of weight prior? Generally, the more weight you lose prior to surgery optimizes your result. Aside from that point, it is recommended that you achieve a Body Mass Index (BMI) of 32 or below before any elective plastic surgery. Thank you for your question and best of luck!

Answer: Tummy tuck ok A tummy tuck would remove excess skin and you appear to be a good candidate. You do not have internal fat which would make you a poor candidate otherwise. An exam and consultation with a plastic surgeon is recommended to discuss your options and expectations.

Answer: Tummy tuck Generally it is recommended that you have a BMI under 30 when considering elective plastic surgery. This calculation is easily done based on your weight and height and can be found on the internet. It represents a value that has been shown to keep risk low for complications after surgery. The best place to begin is a consultation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area. You can learn about the procedure and ask questions. You will probably be able to enhance your results by adding some liposuction of the hips and flanks as well.

Answer: Can I have a TT without having to loose weight? You can have a lipoabdominoplasty which is a combination of liposuction and TT. In this operation liposuction is performed first in the abdomen and the hips. This allows mobilisation of the skin without the need for excessive undermining. You can expect good results with tighter skin and less fat under the skin of the abdomen and hips.

Answer: Tummy tuck Hello and thank you for your question. Based on your photograph and skin laxity, you are a candidate for a tummy tuck with liposuction at your current weight. This can be done through a low and short incision, all completely below the bikini line. The belly button can be designed to look natural and have no scars on the exterior. Your muscles can also be plicated resulting in a flat abdomen. Make sure you specifically look at before and after pictures of real patients who have had this surgery performed by your surgeon and evaluate their results. The most important aspect is to find a surgeon you are comfortable with. I recommend that you seek consultation with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon who can evaluate you in person. Best wishes and good luck. Richard G. Reish, M.D. FACS Harvard-trained plastic surgeon
