Dr. Scott Tucker is a board-certified plastic surgeon and president of Salem Plastic Surgery in Winston-Salem, North Carolina. A RealSelf Top Doctor, Dr. Tucker specializes in cosmetic and restorative procedures of the face, breast, and body. Dr. Tucker knew from childhood that he wanted to be a doctor and became fascinated with surgery in medical school. He ultimately chose plastic surgery because “the profession affords me the opportunity to do what I love most—perform surgery and care for my patients. The creative aspect of working with each individual patient, whether reconstruction or aesthetic, combines my artistic nature with the opportunity to practice great medicine,” he says. Dr. Tucker often jokes that he “graduated from the 27th grade” because that’s how many years he was in school to become a plastic surgeon. He earned his medical degree from the University of Missouri, where he was elected to the prestigious Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Medical Society. He completed six years of residency training: four years in general surgery and two years in plastic surgery at Bowman Gray Center for Medical Education at Wake Forest University. He also completed a fellowship in cleft palate and burn reconstruction at the University of Southern California–affiliated Rancho Los Amigos Medical Center. Board certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery, Dr. Tucker is a member of the American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery and the American Society of Plastic Surgeons, as well as a fellow of the American College of Surgeons. I’ve had two surgeries( breast augmentation and tummy tuck, and liposuction on my flanks) with Dr.Tucker. I am so pleased with his work. The confidence I have is incredible now. His work is precise and his expertise is apparent.
From the initial consultation I knew Dr. Tucker was the doctor for me! He is very professional, an expert in his field and most importantly cares about patients. I had a breast lift and augmentation and The surgery and healing could not have been any better. The knowledge of the staff and their willingness to answer any questions was remarkable! I will return to Salem Plastic Surgery for any future needs. As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
Dr. Scott Tucker is the best! From our initial consultation up to the actual procedure, I am very satisfied. I was nervous about having a breast reduction performed but I became less anxious after being throughly educated from beginning to end. Dr. Tuckers’ staff was also kind and accommodating. Consider going with Salem Plastic Surgery for your upcoming surgical needs.
Dr. Tucker and his staff are amazing!! I have had 2 surgeries soon to be 3 with him, you can’t go wrong at SPS! I have had unpleasant experiences elsewhere in the past and I can honestly say I feel at home and very cared for by him and his staff. There can be a lot of anxiety and stress when it comes to surgery, but they have always provided great service for me before during and after surgery. I will always go to SPS for all my skincare needs and procedures!!!!
Wonderful results. I had lumpectomy on both breasts due to cancer and radiation treatment so my breasts had dips and one had inverted nipple. Dr Tucker was able to resolve both that issues by using my own fat to fill them back out. I am very pleased with the results. Thank you!
I don’t have anymore back and shoulder pain no rubbing on the side. Having a reduction was the best decision I have made in still the healing process but I don’t regret it at all. I’m in love with my new breast, I’ve always had large breast before the surgery I was a 48F. The staff was wonderful through the whole process and even after. Thank you Dr. Tucker and staff at Salem Plastic Surgery. As an incentive for posting a review, this reviewer received an entry into RealSelf’s monthly $500 gift card giveaway.
Our (my husband and I) experience with Dr Tucker and the center were nothing short of wonderful. Both our worries and concerns were dealt with the day of the procedure amazingly. The next few days afterwards there were questions about many things and the staff was so helpful and attentive every day with our phone calls. We had many questions and concerns and we were always made to feel comfortable about our questions. We are past the healing stages now and are so glad we went through with the procedure. Many thanks again from both of us.

Dr . Tucker is a very calming doctor. I went in to have my implants removed and smaller boobs…from the moment I had my 1st appt I knew I’d be ok. I’m almost 3 months post surgery and I am so happy with the outcome! He coulda went smaller and I wouldn’t of cared but I am super happy with my boobs!!! Now I can wear tops that’s fit!
Sometimes when you do a mastopexy and somebody has very a large areola it is hard to get all of the pigment out and therefore it ends up in your vertical scar. After the tissue soften you can go back secondarily and resect this to try to dress up and otherwise nice result. Good luck,Dr. T
While you are on the younger side of folks that get facelifts the surgery would help with your loose neck skin and elevate you cheeks back in to a more upright position. Seek consulatation with a board certified plastic surgeon in your area to get more details about how this would be done.Good luck,Dr. T
If your doctor is avoiding you then I would ask around and find out who does the most body contouring in your area and get an appointment to get a second opinion. As plastic surgeons we all see patient whose results don't meet the physician or the patients expectations. The problem with seeing another surgeon for a revision your costs will be more, but if your original doc is avoiding you this may be your only option.Good luck,Dr. Tucker
Early in my career I used permanent stitches to plicate the muscle on abdominoplasty's. I did see a rare occasion where somebody got a suture granuloma around 1 of the permanent stitches that needed to be removed. This did not affect her muscle repair. Later in life I switched to absorbable sutures to avoid the suture granuloma problem. After the area has healed he should not have any problem as the muscle is fused together as the healing process goes on. The sutures then resorb and I have not seen a recurrence of a diastases since switching to the absorbable sutures. Good luck,Dr. T
With the degree of laxity on your neck and jowl area facelift is probably your only option. Facelift will not do anything with your lip lines but at the same time as the facelift you could has with the laser resurfacing of your upper lip. He would also benefit from lower lid blepharoplasty with fat redraping into the fold under her eyelid bag. This could all be done at the same time. I like to complement you on your photographs you did a great job of capturing what needed to be seen to evaluate this. Good luck on your journey, Dr. Tucker
