The length of the tip should be about equal to the length of the upper lip. If the nose is longer it is said to be overprojected. The picture is a bit difficult to analyze, but it appears that the length of the tip can be reduced some. The most important step is to visit a qualified rhinoplasty surgeon for an examination and then you should be able to make an informed decision.
The photo you have provided is a bit difficult to analyze completely, however, from the view that is shown it appears that your nose is a bit over projected and there is not a great deal of definition in terms of the angle the nose has coming off of your face and the angle of the nasal tip itself. If you reduce the length of the nose only you will have a shorter nose, but not an attractive feminine nose. Slightly changing the angles of the nose on profile while decreasing the length of the nose will give you a very pleasantly appearing nose, not simply a smaller nose.
When we talk about our nose "sticking out" too far from our face, in surgical terms we say the tip is overly projected. It is very difficult to assess your tip projection properly from your photo, but "yes" your tip projection can be corrected surgically if it is excessive. This is a common complaint heard from many patients who seek rhinoplasty surgery. I suggest a consultation with a board certified surgeon specializing in rhinoplasty. I have provided you a link below. Good Luck
Full face front and side views would be useful. A rhinoplasty will address an overprotecting tip and give the proper facial balance both from a front and side view and a natural looking nose. Seek consultations with board certified plastic surgeon with experience in rhinoplasty.
yes you could have a rhinoplasty done to make your nose fit your face. this s something that you have to have a consult with a plastic surgeon and then them take pictures and see what is the best route to go.
Thank you for sharing your photo and question. To get a more accurate facial assessment, full face frontal and profile views would be necessary. From the limited views provided, it appears you may be a candidate for rhinoplasty to deproject a slightly over projected nasal tip and dorsum. However, this recommendation is limited by the photos. If you are interested in rhinoplasty surgery, I would suggest you consult with a rhinoplasty specialist who performs a good amount of nasal surgery / rhinoplasty and has board certification with the American Board of Otolaryngology, American Board of Plastic Surgery or the American Board of Facial Plastic and Reconstructive Surgery. Good luck!
Although it is difficult to give advice based upon a single photo, I think that a rhinoplasty to decrease the projection of the tip may bereasonable to improve facial balance. The key is find a surgeon whogenerates natural results that enhance your appearance.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA
A full set of pictures are required before giving any meaningful opinion. It is possible to de-project the nose with multiple maneuvers performed during the rhinoplasty procedure. In our practice, we de-project the nose with closed rhinoplasty techniques. Digital computer imaging would be helpful to understand what can be accomplished with your nose upon your facial features. For many examples, please see the link and the video below
The only way to get an answer to your question is with a consultation. Your photo makes it difficult to assess your situation accurately. Rhinoplasty can be done to alter your tip or your entire profile. Once you learn your options, you will be able to decide what is right for you.
Tip reduction is possible but an exam in person is key to properly evalute you for any future procedure.

Dear Mkight313; Sixteen days after rhinoplasty, (depending on if you also had septoplasty and turbinate resection) the nose may be dry. Generally, saline spray is found to be refreshing and helpful, but if in your case it does not seem to work, then you should consult with your...
