I have performed Rhinoplasty for over 25 years and mu suggestion is to take a deep breath and allow your nose to heal. I see all Rhinoplasty patients frequently during the first 6 months to emotionally help those that are worried about post Rhinoplasty swelling. Once the cast is removed at 1 week post-op, the nose can and will swell from the Rhinoplasy that disrupts the lymphatic drainage in the nose. The lymphatics hook up at about 6 months post-op, so until then the nose will swell. The caveat is that the nose rarely swells evenly and thus swelling can make the nose appear crooked. Beginning at 1 month post-op I instruct all Rhinoplasty patients in proper manual lymphatic drainage of the nose to gently push out the nasal swelling. If your nose was straight after the cast was removed and you have not bumped your nose, there's no reason for the bones and cartilage, of the nose, to have inadvertently shifted. You should call and see your Rhinoplasty Surgeon to discuss what he/she advises you do to help you get through this post-op period as easily as possible. Hope this helps.
