Can you get Lipo with a bullet still lodged in your body? (Photos)

Thank you for your question.  From the photographs that you included, it appears as though you would be a good candidate for liposuction of your abdomen and flanks (love handles and bra rolls as well).  While it would be preferable to know the exact track that the bullet took and where it currently rests, I do not see its presence as a definitive contraindication to a liposuction procedure.  To this end, your operating surgeon may send you for a scan to determine the bullets exact physical location to ensure that there is no interference.I would recommend scheduling an in-person consultation and exam with a qualified board-certified plastic surgeon with expertise in liposuction and body contouring procedures.  I hope you find this helpful and best of luck!

It would be nice to know where exactly the bullet is, but if it is in the muscle deep, then liposuction can be performed because that is performed in a  more superficial fatty layer.

I do not see the presence of the bullet as a contraindication for surgery although an x-ray for purposes of determining its precise location would be desirable.

Looking at your pictures it appears that you are s good candidate for liposuction to your abdomen and flanks . The bullet should not interfere with your surgery . Talk to your plastic surgeon about your concerns . Good Luck
