Is this average growth for a temple area 7 months post FUE? (Photos)

It can take 6 to 12 months after surgery to see results.  If you are concerned it is best to contact your doctor

My general advice is to wait 12 months for a full results but you should have around 6-70% of density by now. If you could clarify as to how many follicles you had in each area it would help me answer the question. But you certainly need more surgery to add density. Please go back to your surgeon and see whether revision surgery can be performed.

It does appear that your growth is slower than it should be following an FUE procedure.  You should see your physician to discover what's up from the procedure you had 7 months ago.  I wonder how you perceive the growth in your crown area.  This region appears full.  

Hard to say without photos of the area before the procedure, but for most of our patients they are at least 80-90% grown out by 7 months. Is it possible to send photos of the area before the surgery?

While there's no 'average' growth for 7 months since some people grow exceptionally fast and others grow exceptionally slow, that kind of growth is fairly uncommon. I would contact your doctor about it, but keep in mind that there is a possibility you will see significant improvement in the next month or so. Usually I tell patients not to worry about their rate of growth until months 8-10.

no  that is not an average growth for a temple after 7 months of surgery .you have lack of density and it would not get better in time .İt's normal for new growing hair starting to get native characteristics, waviness, curl and full density in first 7-8 months..I advice you have a FUE revision surgery ; you would get the desired hairline in just one sesssion of dense packing hair transplant.

It appears that these are the same photos; it would have been helpful if you had submitted a "before" photos and a "7 months after" photo. But even assuming you were completely bald in the temples prior to your transplant I would have expected to see considerably more growth than this--whether your grafts were obtained via strip (FUT) of FUE. That said, you should make continued progress over the next 4-8 months, so try to be patient.Thanks for your question--I hope this was helpful.Dr. Ballon
