Dear pixie1220, Thank you for your question. You should not have a problem with taking Zithromax 10 days post-operatively following a breast augmentation. It is important to clear up the sinus infection. However, I suggest making a follow-up appointment or calling the office of your operating surgeon to confirm it is okay with them. Best of luck to you with your healing!
Thank you for your question! Yes, it is ok to take Zithromax 10 days after surgery. However, I recommend discussing specific questions with your plastic surgeon. Best of luck!
Hi pixie1220, I understand your concern. It is best that you consult your plastic surgeon regarding taking additional medications for your sinus infection, as he or she knows your case well. In addition, he or she has his or her own preferred post operative care and management. Yes it is safe to take Zithromax for a sinus infection 10 days after your breast implant and lift surgery.
Thank you for your question.Zithromax should be as safe as it is before or after breast augmentation to treat a sinus infection. Any antibiotic could have side effects so continue to follow your doctor’s advice. I am not aware of any antibiotics affecting breast implants negatively.First line treatment for sinus infection is typically augmentin (amoxicillin/clavulonate) so I would expect that you have a penicillin allergy as the reason for Zithromax.Dr. L
you definitely want to take the antibiotics. there is a small chance that the sinus infection, could spread to the implants. There is no downside to taking antibiotics if you have an infection. david berman md
I see no difficulty or risk-taking Zithromax 10 days after your breast augmentation. It is probably beneficial to cover the sinus infection after recent breast augmentation.
