I’m six weeks out from having a BBL, and week 5 notice some deformities and dents, did my fat die, can this be corrected by wearing proper garment still, I’m so embarrassed and afraid to show my body even more now with this
Answer: BBL Hello dear, thank you for your inquiry! 6 weeks is definitely way too early to see your full potential results. Continue wearing the garment that your surgeon provided you with, follow his/her instructions and try your best to stay seated on your booty buddy.

Answer: Fat resorbtion The percentage of fat graft which "takes" or does not resorb is a hot topic for debate (on average 50-70%). There are many techniques for harvest/preparation of fat. Ultimately, the technique each surgeon employs is that which he/she believes will improve graft survival. The percentage of graft survival will determine your final outcome. No matter the technique, 6 weeks is very early for passing any judgements. There will always be some degree of swelling which subsides over time. After swelling has subsided, there will be a point at which some of the grafted fat will have taken and the rest will resorb. You will look very different then relative to your current appearance. Allow for at least 3 months healing time. As always, discuss your concerns with your board certified plastic surgeon (ABPS).Donovan Rosas MD Board Certified by the American Board of Plastic Surgery Member: American Society for Aesthetic Plastic Surgery, American Society of Plastic Surgeons RealSelf Top 100 RealSelf Hall of Fame

Answer: DID MY FAT DIE Thanks for your photos and question. At the 6 week point, you still may have quite a bit of swelling and very early on in the healing process. I usually inform my patients that it can take several months before the swelling is gone sometimes longer. I encourage my patients to wear their compressive garment for at least 4-6 weeks to help aid in shaping. My response to your question/post does not represent formal medical advice or constitute a doctor patient relationship. You need to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon in order to receive a formal evaluation and develop a doctor patient relationship. BBL Postoperative Instructions

Answer: Atrophy after a fat transfer Although most of the injected fat will survive a fat transfer (60-70%) you will lose about one third of the transferred fat cells. If you are concerned you should certainly visit your plastic surgeon. After six weeks there is no added benefit of wearing a garment and it will not influence your final outcome.Best wishes,Dr.Bruno
