Hello, I just got lip injections yesterday and I am really unhappy. Is it normal for my lips to be stiff and swollen. I feel like the middle section of my upper lip is very big and whenever I smile it looks stiff and covers most of my teeth. Wil my lips get better and should I just be patient or will they be like this permanently ?

Answer: The two week rule. If you have seen a great injector the rule is this ' Hate your lips for two weeks, them love the look after'. Sounds corny, but this is true. If you look though out this forum, time and time again Specialists injectors will always say that it can take up to 2 weeks before your lips settle, and the full results are seen. Be patient, and if you had Juvederm by a expert injector with an eye for detail, you will not regret your injectables. All the best, and hang in there. Dr Isobel Walker. Fiori Institute. Brisbane.

Answer: Swelling After Lip Fillers Thank you for your question. After any filler, you need to wait up to two weeks to appreciate your full results. The swelling is normal and should subside with time. If you have further concerns about your treatment, you should contact the provider that did your injections. Best of luck to you!
