THere are no contraindications to having a rhinoplasty with your period. AS a matter of fact, patinets will frequently get their periods the day of or just before their surgery although it may not be expected for w few more days. Stess and hormonal cahnges frequently do this. Good luck
yes you can have surgery while on your period. this should not interfere with the surgery. if you have furthers questions please consult your doctor
The bottom line answer is that should not be an issue. Typically, there is minimal blood loss during a rhinoplasty procedure and that should not be a problem.
That should not present a problem under normal circumstances.Kenneth Hughes, MDLos Angeles, CA........
There is no medical reason for you to be concerned with scheduling rhinoplasty surgery during menstruation. However, if you personally don’t feel comfortable with it then you should consider rescheduling.
Yes you can, normal hormonal fluctuations such as those that occur during your period should not preclude rhinoplasty surgery. If you have additional concerns, you should inquire with your surgeon. Best of luck!
Finally a very interesting question/issue. I believe the surgeon makes that final determination. I prefer NOT to operate during a menstral flow time. I find the bleeding/clotting to be slower thus more bleeding and black & blue effect.
There should be no problem with this, but each surgeon has there own standards, I would check with your surgeon.Good LuckStephen M. Davis, MD, FACSGreen Hills Plastic Surgery
While some doctors feel that there may be more bleeding with any procedure during one's period, it should not interfere with the surgery and is not a contraindication to proceeding with a rhinoplasty.Robert Singer, MD FACSLa Jolla, California
It is certainly possible to have a rhinoplasty performed while you are menstruating. Best of luck with your surgery.
The nose has genereally reached its adult size by the late teenage years, but this can vary from person to person.
It is common for the nasal skin to temporarily change after surging, taping the nose, and applying a cast. This is why I always have rhinoplasty patients consult with the aestheticians in our office after surgery.
It is hard to say what came out of your nose, but an internal nasal examination is probably warranted at this point to make sure there is no tumor present, or residual mass present. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
