Dark circles after rhinoplasty - 11 months post op. What do you suggest I do?

I am 11 months post op and I still have dark circles under my eye that won't go away. I am of middle eastern origin and my eye area has always been a bit darker than the rest of my face. My doctors advice is to apply arnica gel, which does not seem to help. What would you suggest I do? I cannot go outside without applying concealer and it bothers me very much. Thanks.

Every patient heals at a different rate, however I would strongly advise against playing any sport, let alone contact sport for at least 6 weeks. You should have been advised of this by your surgeon, in your pre and post operative consultation and review.

Noisy nasal breathing after rhinoplasty could be from many causes such as retained mucous, turbinate enlargement, or septal perforation. The latter tends to sound like a whistling noise.Hope this helps you.Dr. Joseph

Generally speaking, it can take 6 to 12 months to completely heal after surgery. Please keep in touch with your surgeon or his/her clinical team to discuss your ongoing concerns.

The likelihood of you having disrupted the results of your procedure are minimal.  You likely have nothing to worry about.  You should call your surgeons office tomorrow during working hours and let them know about it for safe measure.
