I'm currently 14 and want to have surgery to correct my nose which was injured. Apparently you have to wait until your nose has fully developed. But I get many different ages from many different doctors. Some say 13-14 others say 16-17 and some say 18 for a female! Haha. Anyway so how do you know that your nose has stopped growing and has fully developed. I really HATE it :(

It is common for the nasal skin to temporarily change after surging, taping the nose, and applying a cast. This is why I always have rhinoplasty patients consult with the aestheticians in our office after surgery.
It is hard to say what came out of your nose, but an internal nasal examination is probably warranted at this point to make sure there is no tumor present, or residual mass present. Best, Dr. Karamanoukian Los Angeles
