If I schedule to have a mommy makeover surgery in late November or any time in December, would I be able to attend a wedding in February?
Answer: Mommy Makeover Recovery Time Thank you for your question. Recovery time varies depending on which combination of procedures you have done for your mommy makeover but generally speaking, I typically recommend 4-6 weeks without any heavy lifting and exercise. Although final results and healing takes up to a year, patients are normally back to their regular activities and lifestyle after a month or two. So to answer your question, I think you should have no issue attending a wedding in February when having surgery in November/December. Hope this helps. Be sure to consult with a board certified plastic surgeon.

Answer: Mommy Makeover Recovery Time Thank you for your question regarding recovery time from a mommy makeover. Generally speaking with any of the procedure options for a mommy makeover, most patients are recovered from a mommy makeover between 6-10 weeks. To be sure, I would speak directly to your surgeon or someone from his/her team to ask specifically about healing time from your procedures. Hope this helps~

Answer: Recovery Time Hello! Yes, you should be able to attend a wedding in February if your surgery is performed in November/December but keep in mind you will still be swollen. Depending on the types of surgery you are thinking about, your breast might still be high (if you have implants), your abdomen still swollen (if you have a tummy tuck), etc. Also, choosing the right board-certified plastic surgeon is important as it can help reduce the risk of complications that can slow down the recovery.

Answer: Discuss with your surgeon Hi NikkijjD, There aren't enough specifics to really answer your question, because the recovery from breast only surgery is different than breast and tummy surgery. In general, I prefer that patients remain nearby for the first ~6-8 weeks...this is the window when problems, which fortunately occur rarely, are most likely to happen. If one of my patients calls with a post-op concern, they often need a followup visit in the clinic for evaluation. if you are out of town, this is not possible--and it's not likely that a plastic surgeon in the city you are traveling to will be able to see you. In addition, at ~2 months from surgery, you would still have lifting restrictions and activity restrictions, assuming that you have a tummy tuck with rectus/six pack tightening. You may be able to attend a wedding, but might not be able to participate fully especially in the reception. Ultimately, I'd suggest creating a surgical plan with your surgeon, who can discuss appropriate timeline for travel after surgery. Hope this helps! Answer: Almost Definitely The typical downtime for breast and abdominal surgery should not be longer than about six weeks. After six weeks, all lifting and activity restrictions should be removed and you should be able to perform any activity that you like. However, it is likely that you will still have a significant amount of swelling for up to 3 months postoperatively. This edema may affect clothing and other choices when attending events during the time period following mommy makeover surgery.
