Based on your question, I would suggest that price is not the only determining factor where to have your operation. Especially if you are considering traveling internationally for surgery, you and your surgeon need to have an active and upfront discussion about how your postoperative management will occur. Specifically, when would you travel home from surgery, and how would any complications be managed once you arrive home, as you will be physically distant from your surgeon. Destination surgery can be done safely, but it is important that you in your surgeon have a discussion about how the logistics will work.
