Will my problem with belly button hair go away after my tummy tuck?

I have a handful of thick hairs that grow under my belly button . I understand that all that skin is removed so my question is after my tummy tuck with my hairy problem go away?

In a standard tummy tuck procedure, the skin below the belly button is typically removed, and a new belly button is created. If the hair growth you're referring to is located on the skin that is to be resected during the procedure, then yes, that would effectively remove the hair growth in that area.

However, if the hairs are above the incision line, they may still be present post-surgery. Your plastic surgeon should be able to provide a more accurate answer based on your individual case during your consultation.

If the skin with the excess hair growth is removed during surgery, then it should resolve this issue. To confirm this, it would be a good idea to ask your surgeon.

You are correct, the hair from belly button down to upper mons area will be excised, and gone. So that hair will be gone after a TT. The hair the does remain above your umbilicus will be present after a tummy tuck.

Usually the skin around the belly button is completely removed or pulled down much lower. If hair remains, it should be a in lower spot.

During a standard tummy tuck the skin from the belly button down to about the hip bones is removed.  The skin that is currently above the belly button is pulled down to meet the lower incision.  If there is currently no hair above the belly button then there shouldn't be any after the tummy tuck.

During a full abdominoplasty, the skin from above your pubis to the umbilicus is removed. Along with the skin cones the hair follicles and sweat glands so all of the hair is gone.  If you do not have hair growth above your belly button, then you’ll be fine.

It is very likely that the hairs would go. But to be accurate we need a picture or in-person examination.The tummy tuck procedure would comprehensively remove excess skin and fat in the abdominal region. The abdominal muscle would also be 'tightened' to create the appearance of a flatter stomach. The answer to your question is it depends.
During the procedure the surgeon will make an incision around your belly button. If there are hair fold calls within the bellybutton itself then those will remain. The second variable is how high the incision line is for the upper incision on the skin removal. For most patients with moderate skin laxity it’s about right at the top of the belly button or may be 1/2 inch above that.
If all the hairs are below that incision line and then they will be eliminated and thrown away with the skin fat of the lower abdomen during the procedure.
I would say most likely your belly hair problem will be eliminated with the procedure.
Talk to your surgeon about this specifically during a consultation, preop visit or on the day of surgery.
